  • last.fm

    upcoming
    DiS sometimes
    ents24 sometimes
plus obvs promoter sites like UTR

  • lastfm.

and the bristol ticket shop website.
    mostly.

  • they're all useless

for hull, generally. i look around on myspace and pick up flyers and then input the gigs myself onto last.fm

  • i use

daily info for oxford gigs. in sheffield i use venue websites. for london gigs i wait for news articles and message board posts.

  • only last.fm

    • Last.fm's...

...not too reliable. I've had to enter at least four different gigs myself, because h

      • duh...

...continuing my previous post as I pressed "post" too early...

I'm pretty sure the content is user-generated, although the venues and/or the promoters are nothing short of idiots if they don't enter the info themselves. It astounds me that I have to do it.

Most of the gigs I've entered details for have been in Oxford, generally at the smaller venues, although I did have to do Chris Thile's Punch Brothers when he played in Shepherd's Bush a little while back.

I'm sure you're very diligent at putting ATP stuff up, aren't you, Jamie :-)

  • last fm

    pretty much exclusively.

  • does the tour dates section in bands' myspaces count?

    lastfm, the wegottickets mailout

    • I'm the same

last.fm, wegottickets emails, and finding gigs on bands' myspaces also.
I used to use ents24, but not so much any more.

  • This one

    http://groups.myspace.com/birminghamgigs

It is a weekly gig list with web links to each band playing so that it is possible to listen before you go to the gig.

  • last fm

    + wegottickets

    • i use

      stargreen
      wegottickets
      see tickets
      ents 24
and venue websites for venues that don't deal with agencies

      • last.fm too

and a bit of ents24 and if i'm bored at work a browse of promoters such as eat you own ears occassionally...

  • -

    www.leedsgigs.co.uk

and last.fm for london and manchester stuff.

DiS too sometimes, if I'm planning on going to london for a bit and want to catch some gigs.

    massively interesting.

  • exeter booking usually

or wait and see when bands i like announce tours.

  • last.fm's

event listings are pretty much the greatest thing ever.

all you need in leeds yup yup.
