Is their new album definitely out today? I pre-ordered the limited version ages ago from hmv, but today they've now got it listed as available in 7 days, or something similarly annoying.
If it is in the shops, anybody know how much it is (and for the limited edition)? I'm having a lazy day at home today, and don't wish to go outside for a wasted/expensive journey! Poor me.
Looking forward to their gig this Friday at the ICA, although am still curious as to who their support band will be.

what's the "special" thing
about the special version dare i ask? Am looking forward to getting it at the show, was hoping there would a Console set as support, The new album's a real grower, so glad I know some of the songs from it before the show
the
special version is apparently a book type thing/cd case, with an extra dvd. I think!
I've downloaded about half of the songs from the album from various blogs, just so that I know them before the gig. Even though it would have been much better to have just heard it all as one thing.
Definitely a grower
Commence watering:

.
It was only £9.99 in a proper hmv shop, so managed to cancel my stupidly delayed version. Twas the limited edition version (although maybe they all are?), in a cool hardback book type packaging. Now to listen and love the newer songs that I haven't played repeatedly for the past couple of weeks. Roll on Friday!
holy shit
the notwist have a new album out? i have totally missed this.
Aye, and it's a
beauty.
i thought it was weeks away
fingers crossed Durham's HMV has it on Wednesday (I doubt it will)
got it today
On my second listen through it now.
It doesn't seem much like Neon Golden did; not as sparse in it's beats+guitar instrumentation. Parts of the first song even remind me of what Snow Patrol might have sounded like if they hadn't turned into Coldplay mkII a few years ago.
Is it
any good? I really love neon golden, do you think i'd like this at all?
By the by, what do you find of the HMV staff in durham, they come across to me as people who don't give a shit and treat you like crap over the most minor of points! Grr i miss concepts, and even music zone :(
I was once asked to leave HMV durham
for complaining when they ID'd me while trying to buy DVDs once.
I miss dam. even if it never was as when Dave was in charge of it as Concepts and Music Zone used to be just about the only place I ever bought movie DVDs.
and yes
the album is good - the single is about the most Neon Golden thing on it.

Cool
will give that a watch!
And yes, i agree, Dam was rubbish in some respects but far better than HMV, and Concepts was great. Dave always found exactly what i was after, and often knew what i was coming in for before i even asked! HMV manager once refunded me 19p instead of £1.99 because she mucked up how a student discount works! Stupid woman.
Its a bit rubbish
Sadly.
it's crap
lyrics are even worse (i.e. more trivial and pointless) than on Neon Golden
I like it
It may not be as great as Neon Golden, but that's just because Neon Golden is one of my most favourite albums.
Am still enjoying this album though- has some amazing songs. Will likely be one of my best albums this year I thik.
