i don't really like the term for this kinda of music, but does anyone know of bands like the blow, no kids, and discovery (the one with the guys from vampire weekend and ra ra riot)?
or r&b as in the tuneless, 'urban' dogdirt sense?
that white people are making something that is theoretically radio-friendly and influenced by popular hip-hop and r&b.
uh-oh
racist
they're pretty awesome
though the album is a little syrupy for my tastes. "Hundredaire" is a classic.
Telepathe perhaps?
they probably lean more towards disco than r&b but the influence is there.

Its the other half of the blow, 'I believe in you, your magic is real' is a good album.
