Don't Tell Me has awesome cut up acoustic guitars and was done by Miwais

bon iver-lump sun
technically, though live he doesnt play it cut up.
under cornelius; 'Drop' is perfect.
how is that bon iver song
cut up? :S
I'm not sure what you are getting at but it made me think
that I can't stand acoustic guitar any more. Any new music that I preview in shops gets the hook as soon as I hear an acoustic guitar intro. I hope I don't start feeling that way about electrics cause I use to love acoustic.
I doubt it.
acoustic just doesn't speak to me anymore
TUNNG!
.......
more pls
this guy
i think he's acoustic - played with him once - lovely guy

is this research for a new band type thing?
a bit, yeah
i do a fair amount of live looping and building and glitching on my guitar, and want to see who does it better
cornelius
would have been my edgy and cool answer
Maybe
some stuff of BoC's Campfire Headphase? Lots of bleached/warped/degraded acoustic sounds going on.
I'd go for
Fennesz. Also, there's a brilliant Squarepusher track on an Burningn tree (or whatever it's called) that's based around a cut-up acoustic riff. I can't remember the name of it, though, if they have names. Second track, maybe?
oh, and
Bibio is worth checking out too, some nice pastoral guitar cut-ups and stuff.
there was a guy on Jools Holland
called 'Joav' (I think) who did exactly what you're looking for. He was very interesting in the way he manipulated and distorted his guitar. Unfortunately, he also sang too (not so great) which is why I am here rather than rushing out to purchase his album.
Pedro
but the new album doesn't have that much of that on there. first album on mush does though. fennesz - endless summer.
boards of canada...
quite a bit of their last album 'campfire headphase'.
Joan of Arc
There's a fair bit of chopped stuff on their earlier albums.
yes indeedy
Khonnor
Especially on 'Handwriting'
all
