I hate them, but i saw that iPod ad for the first time before and really liked the tune without knowing who it was by. I think the Sugarhill Gang's management might be in touch, but it's surprisingly okay-ish, is it, wut? I've got loads of sedatives and a mallet, should i use them?
The vocals are a bit annoying
apart from that, it sounds pretty good.
Also, 0:16, Street Horrrsing anyone?
Agreed about the vocals
The actual music is pretty decent and funky though. Something different anyway in my eyes...
Just a shame the singing is pretty annoying.
Yeah
no, i really like that song.
but it helps the advert has lots of pretty colours and people dancing.
this
band will be huge huge by end of summer festivals. not a bad thing. sounds very css that advert track
IT'S A HIT
i like it, even though the both of them are mutton dressed as lamb
LIES
she is hawwwwt.
she's alright
for a forty year old
need more youngsters
<3 hayley williams
i
just read this on their wiki page
"The Ting Tings are currently working on an album with ex-Tranmere Rovers winger Pat Nevin, to be released in late summer."
for a WHAT year old now?!
you know
forty, fifty, i don't know specifics
the thirty second version is okay
but i found the proper version to fall into their usual brand of "irritating".
you mean, Chic, right?
yeah but
i've seen them live.
and they're piss poor.
Don't they perform to a backing track live?
Seriously, what's the point? Surely it can't be that hard to find a decent session guitarist and bassist?
.
HYPE HYPE HYPE.
SHITE.
I love this.
The Ting Ting are nothing more nor less than a decent corporate pop band.
And yet they expose people on here as conservative, jealous, self hating squares.
Carry on.
Is that in their press release?
puts hat on hard on
technically
you should have a hat hard on
sorry
i mean a hat-hard on
ah but
they are a decent corporate pop band who have infiltrated "indie"
thereby causing a lot of people who would have otherwise ignored them to become exposed to them
its like the whole popularity/criticism thing; i rarely heard a bad word about the klaxons before they were nominated for and subsequently won the mercury, now you can't move for people slagging them off. and i don't reckon that's all down to half arsed efforts to appear cool by disliking something popular, it's just that they were shoved in the faces of a lot of people who genuinely didn't like them but were previously able to mostly avoid their music
oh and i like the ting tings, but only in a club where it's loud and i'm pissed. i downloaded some of their stuff the other day, it just doesn't work on a computer/ipod/sober
the only ting tings song
that doesn't make me vomit into my own scorn. rlyrly
Shit band.
Shit song.
Mostly because she
HAS THAT SHITTEST ACCENT IN THE WORLD.
Her vocals are truly awful.
And her style. Oh for fucks sake, she looks like a bloody trap.
You'd think they'd give her a decent stylist at least.
the line
"they call me her"
is very good.
the drumming is well like ?uestlove's on the roots' 'water'. what's the sugerhill gang song it steals from?
^ you're thinking of the wrong track.

Yes, they aren't bad
Really quite surprised by their success though. #1 single and album - didn't see that coming.
It's better than most Radio 1-indie stuff that is popular these days, but not groundbreaking.
they've grown on me
and i hate myself for it
i heard it for the first time in a club on friday...
i'm fairly indifferent...
they're
superb. some people have a natural aversion to simple catchy pop.
that's what they do - and for the summer this LP is just what's needed.
But there's about 100 better albums
that are being ignored while people fawn over this mediocre Ting Tings shite.
Arrgh.
missus
is constanly harassing me to buy the single :-(
Yes it's catchy...
but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. I don't think it's anything special, it sounds like a photocopy of a photocopy of a Jackson 5 song.
They lip syncd live
I was in shock, I didnt think things like that happend at Barfly
My new HATE band
Its quite catchy
The full versions not that great though (although the 30 second version is pretty good)
Have no desire to see them live or get their album though.
