get mugged

Rio cinema

Go to one of the Vietnamese restaurants

check out...

Oxfam, although one of them just closed down...

oh yeah, this too^

and go to DALSTON LANE CAFE for the best breakfast in London

where's that...

dalston lane cafe? well on dalston lane i guess but where exactly?

I've been looking for decent breakfast in dalston in ages

170c Dalston Lane

It's a bit pricey but the food is so good.

If you want breakfast with a scummy charm, go to Cafe Bliss!

cool thanks

check out the Prince George pub, very nice, outdoor area...

only issue...

is that they do shitty bloody mary there but the rest of it is rad!

or the three compasses

where drinks are about half the price of those at the George...

the three compasses

looks like the scariest place in the world, I used to live 30 seconds away from it but never went in

the

shacklewell arms is definitely the scariest pub in dalston if not on the planet. it's apparently my local, but i've disowned it.

Have you been to The Trolley Stop?

It's a "gay" pub but there's never more than 3 people in it and my sister is convinced she saw open durg dealing taking place behind the bar.

I LOVE E8!

*oops

wrong forum soz.

Clown museum

Rio cinema
look at the mural
go to Sainsbury's
look around Ridley Road market
walk over to London Fields
laugh at mentalists
look at haircuts
get shouted at by people on the street
eat chicken
there are some little art galleries and things

also...

go and buy stolen stuff on the weird kingsland rd tiny market thing on saturdays...
more and more cops there at the moment...

loads

bardens
cafe oto
for music
the rio
for films and tea
erm,ridley road for scary meat
cafe evin,for ace potato pancakes.
the worst card shop ever on kingsland high street.
or just get a bus to stoke newington,
and shoplift in fresh and wild.

Clown museum?

please please tell me you're serious.

hello!

http://www.visitlondon.com/attractions/detail/442434

The official UK Clown Church is about 30 seconds from my flat

If you don't have much time

go to the big Noodle Bar, they literally bring your meal out 2 minutes after you order.

have a drink

in the Jazz bar
Bagel shop
Play darts at the Compassess

^^

love the Jazz

Hmmm

Go to PFS and marvel at the supermarket/turkish bridal shop combination.
Buy a spinning alloy wheel belt buckle from the Kingsland shopping centre.
Get some Magic Corn.
Ethnic birthday cards.
Go to the Ethiopian bar which is basically a living room.
Buy some Ghanain music CDs with titles like 'Sexy Doctor.'
Get a hair weave.
Go to the Marquis of Lansdowne, order a drink and then be surprised by what drink arrives.
Get some Justice For Jamie.
Ogle the many fit girls.
Be angered by the music/clientele of the Jazz Bar.
Visit Top Congo Store and buy some Pigs Feet. (Stew - in case you were wondering.)
Loads of shit really...

It only appears after dark

... in a similar way to Barden's. This is a well shit explaination but if you imagine how Barden's is that semi-anonymous door way down some stairs, the Ethiopian bar is the same thing but on the next block along, just passed the Marquis pub. It does actually have a name but I can't remember it. Anyway, if you find it go down the wallpapered staircase and you'll find yourself in a ridiculous little room with a load of guys eating fish soup. Star Lager please barman.

"Get some Justice For Jamie. "

made me LOL. I'm going to hell.

i love that off licence just across the road from the three compasses

which never has anything in it, except at night it's always full of really excitable people stood around the counter drinking beer.

And they sell jager!!!!

The woman behind the counter is amazing and when she had to tell me she's sold out of Jager, she had the face of someone who had just been told their entire family had died in a house fire.

I recently learnt

this has closed down :(

I've never seen Dalston

as being somewhere that beautiful people congregate. Not any more than anywhere else anyway

I might be moving to Dalston

This thread is interesting to me. Thank you.

are there any

dodgy/2nd hand furniture yard type places in dalston or stoke newington?

or even old office stuff that is being flogged

i need a desk and chair!
