What is the best type?

I'm told that Diesel are the absolute best. I have to say, I love their styles and fits, but not their prices.

I've also been told Topman's are surprisingly good, but have I been deceived?

I had some Topman ones

They were pretty good.

Get some levis

This ^

Levis 517.

I have no idea

I only buy drainpipes now

It looks like my

drainpipe days are coming to an end. I've decided I need to be free-er this summer. It will demolish any of my chances with any nice local ladies, but I don't care. I've been looking at pictures of certain people and have decided they look WELL good if you wear them right.

Damn right.

Good to see my holiday snaps are having a positive affect.

:D

I was talking to someone the other day, and he described you as 'boisterous'.

Haha

Who was that?? 'Boisterous'. That makes me sound like a small child who's overdosed on Chewits.

More like a labrador

when you enter the room

:D

"This is how much I love my jeans..."

Jesus.

I was obviously too excited by the Conference play-off final...

nah

That was when "The Final Countdown" came on over the speakers. The best bit was you yelling for bobbygeorge's attention while Stuart Braithwaite looked on, sighing and rolling his eyes.

x

Linksssss to the specific ones you are talking about, please?

Specific people?

My brother. My friend. Craig Nicholls<3. Ryan Adams. and about ten million others.

ones as in the pictures

so yeah, covered. Would you get them as tight as that?

absolutely definitely.

Are they tight!?

I spose they are on the hip.

But yeah. I dig.

yeah, on the leg as well

look at his thighs

yeh

total fucking camelknuckle
should invest in gym socks too

Diesel Jeans

are ace. Try TK Maxx - they normally have last seasons ones at £50ish.

There should be a law

against men wearing bootcut jeans.

wut?

Has the world changed completely? I thought men weren't allowed to wear tight jeans?

Bootcut is the

way forward.....I don't wear anything but.

Tight jeans would also be banned under my regime

Straight cut ONLY. Preferably Levi 501s.

strange....

I was talking with my mother at lunch there about boot cut jeans.
Levis boot cut are the best!
Boot cut jeans all the way!!

Men aren't allowed to wear jeans at all any more

Or any kind of trousers either.

Frilly skirts

Are the way forward for the modern man.

If you consider the opinion of

everyone who ever says 'there should be a law against...', men aren't allowed to do anything. And nor are women. Or dogs.

bootcuts is horrifiv

tapered it the way. never skinny. cant you do things by halves?

Jeans need shape though.

You can't just have buuuuuuuuuuuuuuur straight ones, just sitting there like a boring johnson.

Topman ones are fine.

I think Diesel are too hipster-ish, in the asscrack revealing sense not the scenester sense.

bootcut jeans

look horrible... go for straight leg jeans they dont have to gonad tight you can get bagger ones eas enough

wut?

straight leg jeans

look loads better than bootcut have a look for some.

Whereas boot cut make you look like a cow boy

I don't even know why i'm arguing about this. I don't even wear trousers.

bootcut look chavy and shit

I got some baggyer straight leg ones and they look well skater.

Surely context is everything?

ie what you're wearing them with?

Oh god, I've got into a discussion about fashion. It can only go downhill from here.

No

Wear a rainbow lame jumpsuit with really nice shoes, you still look like shit.

Stupid example

You stupid Example lookalike.

true true

I'm sure you can make them look good. I have a pair some where but not worn them for like 8 years. I tend to ware either baggyish straight ones or skinny jeans. Alot of people look terrible in boot cut though.

Boot cut look much better on me than anything else because of my height and build.

Bootcut = chavvy is a weird misconception though.

your in ya 30s tho

you aint gona be trendy look are ya. hehe i'm just messin I just think boot cut looks lame on most people.

Bootcut

certainly don't look chavvy at all....wut? :)

If it’s specifically boot cut…

Then Diesel are a pretty good choice I guess. I used to buy them and they served me well. Fenchurch boot cuts are ok as well.

I’ve gone of the cut now and prefer tapered Levi’s Sta-Pressed 307 ‘s.

I’ll happily spend a bit extra on jeans. Cheap ones always seem to loose shape too quickly and end up at the back of my wardrobe.

Diesel jeans are super,

I got some straight leg ones from Selfridges for £90. They are pricey, but they last and fit niiice.

I still have loose fit jeans

1990 4eva

Completely loose jeans

are always bad.

Sorry.

They're just normal size ones, aren't they?

You're just too thin to find jeans that fit.

It's true

These are actually drainpipes.

when i see a man in flares

i do a little bit of sick in my mouth
:(

there is a cut of jean in h & m

called the "lad".

they have a slight flare at the bottom. get them.

THE LAD?

I've got "Ask the Missus" shoes & feel like a bit of a prat.

My tootbrush is called "Geezer"

uughhh

all this shit just makes me think about charlatans-loving mullet men wearing duffel coats

you are being serious

about the shoes though!

and what the shit is wrong

with a duffle coat?

I love duffle coats.

You people make me sick.

^it's true

'Lad' is the only fit H&M do that is synonymous with boot cut whereas 'Bragg' is pretty low and straight. Then there's that crazy "star" fit that is some dirty great flare, like wearing umbrellas on your ankles.

Straight cut jeans are indie?

When the hell did this happen?

I'm more of a chinos man myself, rarely buy trousers for more than £15.

501s will always be cool

I own three pairs

My dad

buys 501s by the truck load when he goes the outlet malls in America. I always find they're too baggy but I'm a short arse so most things are. :(

oh dear

you are dead from the waist down

Fuck off you fucking arsequack

"ooh let's all judge people on what trousers they like to wear"

Chinos are so comfortable I want to curl up and cry everytime I wear them.

Levis 507

End of thread.

Horses for courses.........

Levis 501 for anywhere/any time
Levis 507 pretty much the same, but can be good if you're going for a more formal look.
Volcom are the kings of looser fit jeans.

I LOVE Levis though, I had a brief flirtation with Diesel in my early twenties, but you can't beat the originals.

indeed

its just funny how the same people that insult skinny jeans get all defensive when people say bootcut jeans are rubbish. (not aimed at you)

I know what you mean......

personally I think that anyone who can rock the skinny look is perfectly welcome to!

I only object to the abomination that is the chubby faux-emo who insists on going skintight, that said it does look pretty funny so there's a redeeming comedy pay off.

Levis

527's. Great Boot-cut, plus if you happen to be in the US they'll cost you about 20 quid.

I like a straight leg. Theres nothing more off putting than when someone wheres a pair of boot cut jeans that are too big for them. its horrible.

It's never about levis or diesel or shit like that

If you buy levi's get them second hand. They're ridiculously expensive for what they are.

Just get some decent ones from H & M or Uniqlo. Or Gap, if you want to spend a bit more.

I don't buy just for brand names, unless it comes to shoes.

uniqlo are fine then

And Gap jeans are way better quality than Levis. Always.

The trouble with Gap........

is there manic sizing system.

Pick up ten pairs of 32/32 in the same style and they'll vary drastically from skintight to MC Hammer baggy.

They need to supervise those sweatshop kids better, I demand consistency!

*their

Grrr.

not to mention for girls,

to have legs my length, apparently you also need to have a crotch down to there. awful fits.

though to be fair,

i have this problem with most brands when it comes to pants

I say pants too, for 'bottoms'.

I'm told its an Americanism, but everyone round here sez pants.

Bloody southerners.

But Levi's wear down so quickly

and they're always always always too long in the leg for me. So I get the whole chewed up by a dog look.

Uniqlo are kings amongst men, everything they do fits so nice.

They had some amazing grey jeans earlier this year

.....they were just ever so slightly too short and the next length up was ever so slightly too long.

I am doomed to forever fall between leg lengths.

get them hemmed

God they're cheap!

Gonna be investing in some of them I think. Are they fairly well fitting then? I don't wanna get some horrible rags that just hand off my legs. I've never bought clothes online before apart from some Interpol tshirt or something lol.

I only have a pair of skinnies from there

But they fit like a dream- not too tight, but just tight enough to flatter my skinny frame. Couple of friends have bought 'normal' jeans from there and they like them.

If you're heading down to London in the near future, I'd wait till then and go to the uniqlo stores on Oxford Street. It's always best to try before you buy.

Uniqlo trousers are damn nice

£7 pair of chinos - bargaintastic

Gap jeans

are good, recently got some decent straight cuts, although with some they do that annoying practice of slightly pre-fading perfectly nice jeans so it looks like you've being rubbing your thighs on the carpet.

innit, though?
