Any good gigs in London next week?

I don't normally get to go to London gigs as it is rather impractical getting back home (to Canterbury) when I have to get up to teach the next day. However, it's half term next week and I'm in the mood for some live music (ASMZ feels like years ago) so.....

good bands in small / medium sized venues with tickets still available. That's what I'm looking for - any ideas?

Oh wow.

I want to go to that.

oh wow!

my heart just skipped a beat when i saw that. i spent a summer in nyc two years ago and they were one of three bands to absolutely blow me away. have managed to catch the other two (standing nudes and the boggs) on subsequent trips to nyc, but not white magic. i first saw them at mercury lounge by accident. was astouned to see jim white playing drums to a room of 30 people. last time i'd seen him he was playing with dirty three to 10,000 people at meredith festival outside of melbourne. fuck, i'm so excited.
