Hey guys, so i dont know how well plugging goes down, but last night we finally finished our first e.p. and are pretty happy with it... we are called Towers Open Fire..
our main influences are the likes of Oceansize, Jaga Jazzist, Mars volta, From Monument to Masses. Mogwai, Radiohead, Sigur Ross etc etc..

how well plugging (we call it jagging)goes down tends to depend a lot. Here are some basic rules (warning rules may change):
1) if you are open and upfront about a thread being for the purpose of jagging your band it will go down a lot better than if you pretend to be a fan of the band or some other convoluted and deceitful scheme.
2) If you are arrogant and write 'THE MASSIVE BAND THAT EVERYONE WILL LOVE!!!!' you will get shot down in flames.
3) If you peddle lumpen no-brainer pub rock then don't expect a positive reaction either.

4) Smugly boasting about 'label interest'.

The only fail in this JAG is they haven't said "we're playing blah blah blah soon", they're just asking for nice things to be said. so sweet!

dont like when the vocals try (and fail) to get all angsty at 2:10 in David & Goliath. generally a bit odd pronunciation in places
