Horse The Band last night, pretty decent show other than............
The utter prick who insisted on busting out the lame hardcore dancing in the middle of a tiny venue that is at best 15 ft wide when you're in front of the stage.
You were warned repeatedly, you hit my friend's little sister in the face with your flailing arms and didn't apologise and repeatedly slammed into us in spite of the fact that a large area had cleared around you.
You absolutely deserved what you got. Oh and there's no point in having a friend back you up if he's a skinny little prick too.
Now I've got your blood on my Vans so cheers for that!
Still, chips in pita with mayo followed by a better than average house party so it wasn't all bad.
violence is never a solution.
But it can be satisfying...
and make for entertaining posts on DiS.
because we have low standards...
"and repeatedly slammed into us in spite of the fact that a large area had cleared around you"
I never get this part. No matter how bif the space is some idiots would have to run into people at the sides. I think its because if they didn't smash into someone they'd feel like they were still practising in their bedrooms like little girls.
In situations like this it's actually okay to punch them in the face.
^ also, it's called a Cheesy Chip Naan.
mmm...
chips 'n cheese wraps, or cobs.
still, elbows in the face don't make for a pleasant evening... especially if a stray bottle hits you in the face, ouch.
What DID he get Alex?
Did you give him some of your pita?
I gave him some inappropriate financial advice.....
as a result of which he may buy a property and find himself in negative equity!
sorry it was me
it wasnt me.
blood on vans is hardcore
especially if its not your own.
but yeah i hate people like that. its fair enough if they dance like that with each other and theres an area cleared, but then when they go and jump on people and flail at them like it suddenly becomes acceptable because a band is on pisses me off. i got half a pint over my head and shirt the other day at a gig.
what did you do to him by the way?
skinny pricks arent all horrible
This one was!
I pushed him over, then he got up and took a swing at me so I punched him in the face. Then his friend came along and the process was repeated.
I'm genuinely not the violent type, but when it's self defence or entirely justified it can be a bit of a rush. Still, 14 years of gig going and that's the first proper fight I've been involved in. Gig audiences are getting worse though, I'm sure of that.
nice work
people like that need to learn. and i think its just down to the immaturity of some of the kids going to gigs now. idiots thinking its 'hardcore' or 'brutal' or whatever to just act like a complete dickhead
Totally, this guy wasn't even that young....
21/22?
Doubtless he'd been watching footage of Earth Crisis or some terrible straightedge metalcore shows on You Tube. At one point he made an attempt at a roundhouse kick!
It's like you said in your earlier post, it's basically assault...the fact that there's a band playing at the same time does nothing to change that.
It'd hardly hold up as a defence in court.......
'To be fair your honour, they'd just got
to the beatdown so what was I supposed to do?!'
yeah its just silly
i mean i definately think its alright to do it in an area where if you go in you are aware that people will be doing it. its good fun then. but when you are basically hitting people who dont want to be hit its being a wanker.
im glad you gave him his due though, i would love to if i wasnt thinner than the majority of people doing it.
i dont see whats so hard about the logic that yea you wanna do it, but other people dont wanna be hit, so dont hit them.
i saw one bloke getting into an arguement at a gig the other week for doing a similar sort of thing, claiming he 'just wanted to have a good time'. the ironing was delicous.
