I find that the people that i initially thought were dicks are now the people whose posts i notice or respond to the most, and the ones i initially thought were quite interesting i soon bored of. Discuss.

I've slowly realised that no matter what I do

People still won't notice me round here.

I'm not used to it.

(disclaimer: The previous statement was used to make me look cool and is definetely a lie)

Holy shit but I have over 1000 posts

How am I now popular yet?

*not

a wee bit

like all newbies

I didn't like wrightylew at first.

we registered

like at the same time. i still see myself as a bit of a newbie.

that's aaaages in the internet.

I didn't like fucktherave that much first

but I've grown to love him!

:D

im nice really

^ this

i HATED him at first, i think he put me down in a couple of threads about big hair, it turned into various boring Spurs-related posts, but now i think he's pretty rad.

:)

i feel so loved

Massively.

I used to think that I was probs the most biggest cunt this side of Dis, but then I realised that I have got a heart of platignum.

nah,

ive always thought you were a dick

;)

I'm like GG Allin: Hated... and covered in my own poop

I find most of the Social Board squatters creepy, and slightly disturbing. Although, this could be attributed to today's sexy/degenerate shenanigans.

Kudos to rue_the_day, though, who seems enthusiastic about a lot of good music, across a diverse number of genres.

rue_the_day is my favourite music board poster for sure

he's like the drummer in my band, who is also American, about the same age and they both like the same sort of music. Even the way he talks about music is the same as my drummer.

I never hated anyone but i got a few things massively wrong...such as a feud between Klare and fucktherave which i don't think ever existed, they seem to get on well. And i thought everyone hated Traynor, and i realized after about 2 months they actually don't.

Also i rarely posted on the social board for the first 4 months or so of my time on here and only posted in the threads down the right hand side...i always got baffled during the weekly mailouts on the popular threads on the board...

ive never had a feud with klaire

but i can see how it might come across like that :)

yeah it was really weird

one of you would post something and then one of you would snipe back at the comment. They would never really escalate into anything bad, it's just to me it seemed there was a tension, just a general dislike rather than hatred.

But yeah, all in my head that one! who needs fake feuds when you've got Mirri and Vikram!

you cant really compete with those two

me and klaire would just be the opening fight for the light heavyweight championship or something, theyd be the WWE championship match.

it was more just us joking around i think. plus she is clearly in love with me. im like hey arnold, shes helga.

I think rue_the_day's opinions on hip hop are a load of toss...

...but he has good taste in most other areas and always writes passionately about everything he likes, something I admire.

ah, well i don't actually know his opinions on hip hop

so i guess that's where he and the drummer are different, as he loves hip hop, especially the more brutal gangsta stuff, just for the production and beats more than anything else.

But yeah it's his passion which i like a lot, as well as his enthusiasm for new things.

(He is never gonna see this because he never ever posts here, ha)

Hello internet

i both hate and love you all...and i always have

luv u 2

x

i think most users think i am a knob

but i couldnt really give a fuck

i know who i like, and i know who likes me so things are grand

youre a knob!

:D
only kidding i think you are funny

knob

it's such a funny word

calling someone a knobber in the most inoffensive thing you can do, i suggest you try it.

how about bellend

i like it because its just completely silly

haha

bellend is fantastic

see also: fanny

haha yeah

i dunno what it is about the word, i think that it is rude but not properly, and just sounds funny

I thought MelesMeles seemed like kind of a dick, originally.

But now he's basically my favorite DiSer, I guess.

Well, they are married

Or so I've heard down the grapevine.

Just about to lose my mind, too.

SHHHHHH!

We're only engaged, actually. I feel we're too young to be married; it's a compromise. We'll be married when we're thirty. YOU'RE ALL INVITED!

OF COURSE

What will you all sing?

Highway 61 Revisited for me

And/or Tubthumping.

He's my favorite STEAMING HUNK OF MAN in the whole world.

Hmm, I think you and yes_ were just about the first two DiSers who made an impression on me. Or it might just be that I liked (and still do, of course) both your usernames off the bat. Anyway, you and yes_ were just about the first two DiSers whose usernames I remembered consistently. Go you!

making impressions FTW

although you didnt say they were good!

yay!

i like you too!

yay!

i also really like your hair; that could also partially be why i remembered you off the bat.

i had it cut today!

a lot of it isnt on my head anymore

pics please!

is it great still though?

well i like it still

but i have no way of taking pictures! but im sure a friend will take a picture soon enough. its still spiky but its a lot shorter and i have a tiny tiny fringe now. i went for a paul simonon look, sort of came out, although its a mix of other things. without too much detail, its a good 1970s punk looking haircut. well thats what im saying anyway :)

In terms of people on here 'making an impression'

You're definitely there, because I figured that a quick way to build up some notoriety on here would be to stroll into those isketch threads as a complete nobody and take some scalps.

Except I couldn't quite beat the American. Goddammit.

you could when you cheated

ps: you mad an impression on me from pretty earlier from the Mongol Rally thread! I <3 the Mongol Rally. Everyone on here who didn't respond to that thread sucks.

*made

Oh yeah!

Related to that: A few weeks back I was chatting to a friend who was meant to be doing the Mongol Rally, and he was telling me that one of his two team-mates was thinking of dropping out and if I wanted to I could have his place. But I've already organised going to the Souther Hemisphere instead. Argh.

you get a spot in it next year though, right?

by the way, what do you DO? how can you travel all the time? and what do i have to do to get this sort of job?

I'm a philosophy student

And it's a combination of not minding sleeping on park benches, as well as spending far more of my student overdraft than I should be allowed...

Also:

This summer I'm doing journalism internships, so my parents have basically said they'll front me any cash I need as long as I pay them back later (as a kind of investment, I suppose).

I'm such a freeloader, but a lucky one.

ahh

I'll be a student again too soon, but I'm too scared (smart, too, right?) to spend my loan on non-collegeloan-necessitating-necessities.

In my first year they gave me a £1000 overdraft

I spent it (and all my air miles) on a week in New York City instead of revising for my exams. Don't regret it though.

I'm thinking that this summer's the last time I'm going to be able to rely on my old tactics. Next year there'll be just too much debt to make this kind of stuff realistic. I'll have to switch to hitchhiking instead.
