He is good

but Bon Scott is better. Was better.

funny you should mention bon scott

because i think he went to the woods once.

im not sure though.

i just wiki'd it

he definatly did.
in 69'

small world.

Yeah

apparently he was wood chopping and everything!

What's his new album like anyways?

He's dead

no new album on the horizon

I

was being sarcastic. Lol.

Should have put it in italics or summit :/

is this some sort of reverse sarcasm^

ill never write for private eye

Not sarcasm.

It's true. Every single article or review on Bon Iver seems to spend pretty much the whole time talking about how amazing it was that it was recorded in a log cabin in isolation.

Yes, But..

In a LOG CABIN!!!!1!!

In ISOLATION!!!!!!111!1!

MENTALIST!!1!11!!!111111111

aaarrrrrggghhhhhhhh

im glad we have the same view that every review or article should get over the cabin thing but i wish that we could have got to this stage further.

to elucidate, i was being ever so sarcastic in the first post.

if i hear that story one more time ill scythe through my cock with a rusty bread knife

in above post

i meant quicker not further

You better not be one of those guys ;)

who hates reading reviews cos "you can just listen to it off the net" ...cos this here website posted a fine review of new Bon Iver a few days ago...which is how I know of it.

t'was a top review

and its kind of ok in a review as long as that is coupled with some decent analysis and the description of the making doesnt make up the entire review

but...

every time a song from the album is played on the radio i get treated to the fucking cabin thing again and again

fail.

demos we're recorded in a cabin, not the whole album.

Wasn't it just

various overdubbing like trumpets and percussion that was done afterwards.

shit

do i still get a percentage?

or is it just a fail and you get no mark at all type thing

?

Apparently the band Ulver,

spent the advance for their first album on suits, and as a result had to record their debut on an 8-track in the woods. And thus, an entire legacy of poorly recorded Norwegian Black Metal was born.
Or so the legends say...
