to talk to some Indian branch of 3 mobile company for about twenty minutes.

I get such a kick from it! The guy who rang me went to get his regional manager or something, so I started saying things like "First, I would like to just get to know you."
He took the bait every time, and was really confused.
The way you win is them putting the phone down. Normally, they won't put it down EVER, but this guy slammed it down after I asked him to get his mother. He was pretty furious at that.
HO HO HO, I'm so funny!
I love prank phonecalls.
They're possibly the highest form of wit.
Honest.
I'm not the biggest fan to be honest.
I prefer it when they ring me.
*dials*
*thinks twice about
phoning up pretending to be Mark Pougatch and saying I've found a Tapes'n'Tapes ticket*
I did that on somebody with a Samuel L Jackson one, once.
I just kept pressing the "MOTHER-FUCKER!" one though. They hung up.
:D:D:D:
Why do kids these days not understand the point of prank calls?
The idea is to keep someone on the phone as long as possible, surely? Without them knowing you're taking the piss out of them.
This is why Fonejacker is such a crock of shit.
it has its moments
but it does drag out the same joke week after week
But half the time, the person on the other end
knows they're being pranked and reacts accordingly. That's just shit. Good prank calls are ones where the victim never really understands what's going on.
That was the idea, you chef.
And 20 minutes is quite a while for a conversation with Arnold Schwazenegger.
Fonejacker's brilliant though. The Indian guy particularly. Then the black guy. People think they're being serious and get genuinely angered at them. Its wonderful!
How was that the idea?
You said 'The way you win is them putting the phone down', which is the opposite, surely?
no you chef
chef?
Come to my DIS restaurant! I'll pay you good monies!
I'll sous you
Well obviously don't just tell them to fuck off.
You string them along, and see how long it takes until they put it down. When they do finally put it down, you're the champion, because call centres are told to NEVER disconnect calls unless they get threatened or abused etc.
I'm wrightylew though, and threatening and abusive isn't my style. You should know that, dude.
Peace!
I suppose if getting them to put the phone down
is a challenge, that's a reasonable game. But if just saying 'where's your mother?' does it, I'd say it would be more of a challenge to keep them on for half an hour or something. And that should be the game.
Either way, soundboard prank calls have my backing. And it's nice to speak to you again.x
:D
my friend did the judge judy one
the police actually came round to his house to question him about it lol
as if you reported it
wut?
the guy he prank called reported it. turns out the guy was in the middle of a legal battle and thought it was the company harrassing him. When my friend explained to the police it was just a prank call they found it funny and just told him not to do it again.
lmao that's brilliant
Sorry, I was being a moron and misread it as 'my fiend did the judge judy one on me' for some reason.
I love that
I'm so gonna use it! "Don't make me do the judge judy on you!" ha ha
could never do it.
even if they work at a call centre it's not really fair to try and wind people up. i know, i don't get the point...
If they work at a call centre,
it's probably a blessed relief.
'Its not fair to try and wind people up'
What? What are you even talking about? Winding people up is BRILLIANT.
God, some people must have BOOOOOOORING lives.
(H) Not me though.
But seriously. What sort of person thinks 'winding people up is wrong'? Are you a primary school teacher or something?
no i just wouldn't want it done to me.
Why the hell not?
Its not like it hurts anybody's feelings is it?
So its wasting a few minutes of their time. Big deal. If someone pranked me at work, I'd LOVE IT. It'd give me a break and a chance to enjoy myself for a few minutes.
depends who it is though, doesn't it?
i doubt i'd get wound up, but some people might take it to heart.
* i know, said people shouldn't work in a call centre
Sod 'em.

Erm... John??
Not to my knowledge - no.
