Meh

Meh on record (except freddy kreuger)
Meh live.

Everyone else seems to like them though.

Used to love them...

But that has shrunk to vague apathy now sadly.

I think their sound is quite immature.

its fun isnt it.but thats i like about them

they set out to be immature and fun and they are

i thought they were okay

i saw em about 3 times in 2002/2003, supporting other bands and that.

Yeah, they do

and they're funny guys undoubtedly but, after 6/7 years of it, i just find their whole 'schtik' to have worn thin.
All the best to em though. I sincerley hope they 'do a Biffy' but for the reasons stated i can't ever see anyone other than the hardcore of fans taking them seriously.

thats a very fair point

and i think youre right.they wont ever "do a biffy" in fact i dont know why im still typing youve summed them up perfectly i thin.i will love them til i die though

TO SEE ME BENT AND BROKEN; YOU'D THINK I LIKE IT

BUT I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heart Reuben

IT DISGUSTS MEEEE"!!!!

THAT I COULD BE!!!!!
SO PETTY AND SO WEAK!!!!

aye Reuben

are ace both live and on record

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH YOU'RE sorry

...everyone is always so sorry...
yeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH!!!

boom boom boom boom

AND I THOUGHT I HEARD YOU SAY
etc etc

TO LOSE IS NOT OKKKKK!!!!!!

BUT ITS THE ONLY WAY!!!

GUESS WHAT I DID WITH MY DAY???

....

i can't recall the rest, so let's try this....

ALL THIS 80S INDIE SOUNDS LIKE SHIT TO ME, 'CAUSE I DON'T LIKE JOY DIVISION, I DON'T LIKE MORRISSEY

i cant recall many lines from that song except...

LAST BAND STOLE MY HEART WAS, EVERY TIME I DIE, I LOVED EVERY SECOND, NOW 3 YEARS GONE BY.
WHEN I HEARD WORSHIP AND TRIBUTE, THOUGHT MY DREAMS COME TRUE, BUT LISTENING TO MOST OTHER BANDS IT SEEMS THEY ALL DID TOO.

yeah, though alot of the last album

was a wee bit cringe-worthy. I def. think my preference order goes:

Racecar Is Racecar Backwards
In Nothing We Trust
Very Fast, Very Dangerous

I have a photo of me with James from when i saw them...his head dwarfs mine; he looks like Hey Arnold!

yeah thats my order too

he has got a BIG face!i still havent seen them :( whenever they play its either in far away lands or i have no money or i cant get time off work!

rubbish!

i've seen them so much that when they play now i don't even bother. Consider it me seeing them for you

haha ok

dont you get that with 65dos as well?ive seen them 5 times now and the 5th was a bit "meh ive seen what you done.its ace but.."

the pre-Destruction tour they were rubbish,

but luckily they were MINT when i saw them the other week. So 6 times and i'd def. go again. The only band i've seen more is, eh...One Minute Silence.

L is for Lame

oh dear god

i think i must of been stood too far back to appreciate the ferocity of it.i hope they go back to normal production for the new album or just something a bit more "normal"
if frank sees that he will throw a fit

Destruction was very 'meh'

onetime is where it's at

they need to take a leaf out Mogwai's book and learn how to keep things interesting. TDoSI was just a fascimile with no real surprises

onetime FTW

await rescue is my fave of theirs.apparently mogwais new one is more "metal"
:D

they get mentioned every now and then

I love them, I want to have their babies.

This band are

very excellent. They're really funny, admit they're in it for a laugh, and play small but sold out shows all around the country. Good times!

Is it just me............

or have they been playing The Joiners on a monthly basis for the past 10 years?!

it's just you

they haven't played there for ages.

I love Reuben

Their new album restored my love for them.

scared of the police

was/is brilliant. anthing that mentions the word monolith is automatically brilliant

i actually own this single

i hope they do "do a Biffy" so i can sell it for moneys

yeah me too.

but its toooooooo good. can't be selling that ever.
i haven't heard their new new stuff. are they on their third album?

racecar, is amazing!

My name is Fredddy Krueger,

I've got the Elm Street blues.
I've got a hand like a knife rack
And I die in EVERY FILM!

MEH

I loved Scared of the Police and Blamethrower, but the album was really really inconsistent and largely pants!

Like them a lot.

They're good fun. They make me smile. Deadly Lethal Ninja Assasin has been constantly reappearing in my head since I first heard it three months ago.

Want to see them live.

Don't care if they're immature; life doesn't always have to be about grown-up stuff.

Oh, cool

I didn't get time to read everyone's replies as I'm hopping on and off cos the big boss is back :(

they're excellent live

if you dont have all the albums yet you should get them

I don't seem to have racecar.

Thanks for making me check!

Brilliant band

and they've matured a lot since their early days.

Last album was streets ahead of most stuff released last year, they deserve to be a much bigger band really.

Saw them in Newcastle last year

lots of jumping around and singing along while grinning the whole time. It was one of my favourite gigs of the year.

Racecar is racecar backwards

is astonishing, in my opinion. The earlier tunes rock pretty hard.
Unfortunately most of what they've done since has failed to really excite me.

dunno about their new stuff,

but their 'pilot' EP is ace.

Always a laugh

always a good tune.
Not going to change the world but who the fuck is anyway?

new stuff

Shits on Racecar - it's just pop-punk in comparison. In Nothing We Trust is where it's at.

racecar FTW

yeah

Racecar is by so far the best album that it isn't even subjective! one of the greatest drumming albums ever

this place

gave them loads and loads of love before they got signed/when racecar came out, then seems to stop bigging them up.
but i don't care, because i read enough to get into them.

racecar has a big place in my musical heart

the others haven't really come close to the spirit, personality and charm of that album - not that i don't like the other two just racecar is so good

Question

Does anyone know who the girl is singing on 'Good Luck'? She's got a really lovely voice.

Hannah Clark

from the band Arthur.

Cheers.

Are Arthur any good themselves?

never heard them

...so I'm going to say "no", just because
