Worst dialogue ever: 'Are you trying to get me fired?' Ha ha - you just killed two members of staff, kidnapped and drugged another one...
But actually quite enjoyable, as far as slasher/stalker movies go. It made me wretch a bit - ultra-violence.
Also, a question about horror films: if you can watch them without shielding your eyes, does that mean that the film has actually 'worked'? Why do some people who really like horror not get scared?
Maybe some people who really like horror
don't actually watch it to be scared. Perhaps they just like gory violence?
hmmm
But surely the normal response is to be frightened/disgusted? Or can you just enjoy being frightened and disgusted?
I was kind of monitoring my own responses - I was gagging at one point (too much blood on screen) and at another point, I was laughing because of the baroque nature of the violence.
...
I find horror films completely redundant. People getting killed, maimed and traumatised as a function of the genre doesn't do anything for me.
...except Robocop.
P.S. The worst dialogue ever is -
"Why do you want to become immortal?"
"So I can live FOR EVER!!"
: D
that's actually the best piece of dialogue I've heard. Can think of a million spin-offs:
'Why do you want to kill me?'
'Because I want you DEAD!'
etc
What about the John Barrowman line
in that Shark film, 'Megaldon' or whatever it was called
ZING!
