The most frustrating thing is though
that for some utterly bizarre reason, Essien was often put there even when other, more appropriate players were fit!
I would argue that Essien is better than or other right-backs..
..but it's still a waste of the best (or at least one of) central midfielders in the world.

to United's squad. As I said below i'd be much happier with Chelsea's squad in a lot of places over Man U's.
I'd say Chelsea
have a stronger squad in some places. Have much stronger players in defense squad wise, and up front and Goalkeeper. In fact it's probably only midfield where Man U are better and even then If Scholes and Giggs retire this season Chelse will be even there.

People saying Arsenal are rubbish Spurs will definitely get 4th. We then improve on the season before by almost 20 points and still get it this summer! There's no way Arsenal can guarantee being in the top 4 and if other clubs spend very big then of course they could get there but at the minute i'd say the gap between the top 4 and everyone else is still pretty massive.

I don't get this
Why do everyone think Arsenal are in such trouble? We only finished 4 points off the top this year, and two off second. So that's a year's lack of quality for each point is it?
This season Arsena coped well with some very long term injuries: Rosicky, Van Persie, Eduardo plus losing Toure, Eboue and Song to the African Nations. The Arsenal squad may not be the size of the other two, but look how big Liverpool's squad is and look where it got them.
The fact is, as I see it, we need two or three quality signings in key areas. Perhaps more importantly we don't need to lose any players. It'll take spending big, but at the end of it I don't see us needing 100s of millions, we're pretty close as we are now.
5 years behind United?
I don't believe that for a second. We were one game off the title basically, and improved immensely on the previous season. Sure, our squad depth is questionable, I agree with that. But Arsenal spend a fraction of the amount on players when compared to Man United/Chelsea (I don't have a link, but I think we're about 6th or 7th in spending over the last 5 years). I guess this isn't the point, but I'm sure we will challenge for the title again next season. Hopefully Van Persie and Rosicky can stay fit (I'm not holding my breath).
