anyone know anything about this Manu Chao guy??? i haven't heard anything of him in England but my European friend says he is massive around the world?????
just wondered if anyone could reccomend some of his songs or has seen him live at all?????
He's quite massive in France
and quite shit actually ( even if his former band was quite good )
Even the fans say that he's became progressively bad since 'clandestino', his "seminal" album.

i've heard two albums
clandestino, and esperransa (sp?) it's fairly sunny ska-y reggae stuff in spanish french and english, it's fun to listen to, but not mind blowing, but i would recommend getting either album, i can't remember which one is better. it's quite cheesy too i guess
I'd a pretty big fan of his first two,
Clandestino and Esperanza, but it's not all that thrilling; wonderful summer music though.
