Madonna is still my fave
as the first time I heard it I was like...'wow'!
Source Tags probably has better songs on it... but Madonna's a bit darker in tone, and sounds a bit like it was recorded in some huge underground tomb lit only by oil lamps and full of incense smoke.
I have a real soft spot for Worlds Apart
And am really not keen on ST&Cs...
Though
The real answer's Madonna, obv.
I have to say "madonna"
Because I only own that and "and you will know us..." having seen live a couple of times around then. I will have to check out the other stuff.
source tags and codes is my favourite
:)
Does anybody actually like the new stuff??
I urge you all to check out"Wasted state of mind" or "Sunken Dreams" off the lastest cd!!
Stunning!
I like Sunken Dreams
but I thought most of the last album wasn't very memorable.
Wasted State of Mind is so baddd
Sunken Dreams is cool though, Jason should write more songs, even if they do sound like the Cure.
i like them
all up to worlds apart, that last album is like trail of dead trying to be the beatles, fucking awful!
World apart
is amazing and they have always been trying to be the Beatles, just look at those early promo shots!
I met Jason and Conrad after a gig in Wolves on the Source tag tour, such great guys. The last one sucked, but to be honest ithink it was more trying to say fuck you to the label. I love the Janes Addiction 'Had A Dad' rip off the best!
even if the last
album was a fuck off to the label, it was still shit , ill forgive thwem for that album, they ruined an amazing run of albums/eps with a pile of shit, i dont liek one song on it, not even a bit
* i WONT forgive
them
I'd say Worlds Apart.
Although I'm still a bit of a noob with Trail of Dead. I've got all the albums (except that So Divided one) and I'm still absorbing them all.
Source Tags & Codes
Defs.
source tags and codes
is probably the best and altho i do love worlds apart and madonna.
not really given so divided a chance but the tour they did for that was absolutely immense. fucking brilliant live band (note: they only played one song off so divded on that tour)
yep
Source Tags is easily the best. Madonna is good too though and I still really like the first half of Worlds Apart. The last album was absolute turd though and they must have known it, given that when I saw them last February, as part of the tour which was supposedly promoting it, they played ONE song off it.
Madonna's my fave by a long way...
So much darker and mysterious...
WA and ST&C are both damn good too though.
gutted there's no london date this time
the last tour was still very very good even though conrad was singing like a deaf child watching CBeebies, his throat was wrecked from the touring! Think they've suffered from an ever changing line-up the last few years (seems to be a different bassist and second drummer every time) and the last record sounded like Genesis, in a bad way, but am very excited about what the next record will sound like :)
New tour dates?
really?
atp
innit :)
GAAAAAH!
RANDOM LOST SOULS HAVE ASKED ME
WHAT'S THE FUTURE OF ROCK'N'ROLL?
Yep
Worlds Apart all the way. Too good.
I've only heard Madonna and source tags and codes
They're both very awesome though. Very much looking forward to seeing them at the weekend.
madonna
it has the best song ever on it: "clair de lune."
but each of their albums has some stellar tracks, even worlds apart. interestingly enough, when i saw them on the tour right after WA came out, they only played one song off of it. it wasn't even one of the good songs, either!
clair de lune
is incredible. I listened to Madonna today, forgot how good it was, Blight Takes All especially.
best song ever
haha.
also, i meant to say "so divided" in the above post, not "world apart." it's one of those days!
LOOK AT THOSE CUNTS ON MTV
with cars and cribs and rings and shit.
Worlds Apart
Masterpiece of an album for me when I was a hot teen.
why
did no one buy that album? the sales were awful
last two have sold poorly i think
hence no longer on interscope...
last album was a dip in form but had some good moments.
definitely one of my top 5 bands though, cannot wait for atp!
MADONNA
easy peasy. Their first album is pretty great too.
Source Tags is ok, but everything after it is over-produced tripe.
I told conrad that
the end of So Divided (the song) sounded a lot like Blaze of Glory by Jon Bon Jovi, was very drunk, very sorry...
the overproduced tripe
of the last 2 albums sounds fucking great live though. Seen them loadsa times and theyve always been awesome
I saw them in Cambridge about 4 years ago
They where good, but that was when Source Tags came out so the stuff was still fairly decent. Not sure I'd bother going to see them now though.
^^ class
did you "offend his artistic sensibilities" or did he take it in good jest?
I got a frown, I apologiesed and ran away
pathetic...!
World's apart
Needed some quality control, but seeing a good 5 or 6 tunes off it in manchester just after it came out was amazing - the first tune particularly was REALLY good live. Saw them in Liverpool on their last tour and they were sloppy as hell but still rather good...dont know why they bother having TWO touring keyboardists though when they only need well...none, really.
love this band
source, tags and codes and world apart is where it's at for me.
