1996 will be remembered by this man for two things: England's thumping of the Netherlands at Euro '96 (I forget what happened after that), and the release of Ash's debut album 1977, with its singles 'Girl From Mars', 'Oh Yeah' and 'Goldfinger'. I sold my Master System to buy it (along with Mellon Collie... and some other shit I don't remember). Classic times.
REVISITED! The trio will play the album from start to finish at London's Roundhouse on September 5; tickets go on sale this Friday, May 16 with booking fees bringing the price to £19.77 apiece. Also expect: b-sides and perhaps a smattering of subsequent hits on the night.
“Who knows,” say the band in a MySpace bulletin, “we'll maybe even throw in sick party!”
Currently working on new material in New York, Ash no longer look this young...

What a terrible video
It's 'Goldfinger' by the way...
"Who knows, we'll maybe even throw in sick party!"
Ha ha. Brilliant. My friends tried to make me puke on my 16th birthday, playing that to me through headphones after i'd passed out.
What a f**ign great record that was at the time.
I really want to go
finding someone to go with is a different matter..

Shit band.
Don't deserve any actual recognition.
Just because they remind you of when you were 6, does not mean they were any good. Music for saddows who couldn't spell.
Oh
dear.
saddows?
That was possibly planned?
Don't care either way. You can still enjoy music that you listened to way back. I'll be getting to this.
one of the first albums i ever bought
even now its such a fun album. Shame they havent really done anything better than it (although Tim Wheeler is a good songwriter)
wow
id love to hear them try to do 'Innocent Smile' live, theres about fourteen guitar tracks on that.
Shut up you fool.
You have the most boring taste on this site. You're the human equivalent of Mojo magazine.
