My local radio station has The Step and The Walk in its regular rotation. Now, while they play a fair amount of decent stuff, I gotta say I love this number in particular.

Will the rest of their new one let me down? How about the debut album? Worth an emusic buy or what?

I know they're a bit polished to be loved by PF-types, but....y'know, so what.

NME flavor of the month-ish...or a really underrated band?

Also-rans.

I saw them doing an instore in Oxford Street HMV

And, while it's not the best place to judge a band, they were poo.

Quite overlooked

dunno bout underrated. Their debut is better than Neptune, but that's still worth having. Check it out!

Saw them at the ICA.

They were okish - the dj in the bar before was far better, played the freed pig. Haven't bothered with the new one...

I want to see them at Reading

I love that song they did with Unkle. The girl's voice was awesome live too.

trying to hard when I saw them live

The mini-album of way back is very good in a sub-Mazzy Star kind of way.
First album is quite good with a few good singles.
New album is OKish.
For me they're trying to hard to rock when their best songs are the slower ones.

I quite like them

Lassoo is a nice track if I recall...

I think they're pretty good

maybe history will judge them as 'also-rans' but if you like the step and the walk, you will probably like Neptune too. If its actually on emusic, i'd say its worth a download. Cuts Across the Land i've never really been mad for, except 'love is an unfamiliar name' which is awesome. I guess they would be fairly average if it wasn't for Moss' voice though. Mayday the one with UNKLE is also great.
Halfway between 'NME flavor of the month-ish...or a really underrated band' i reckon.

Mayday=Awesome

I don't know them otherwise

I liked them long long ago.

Love is an unfamiliar name = brilliance.

I reckon they're one of the few 2005 lot that I might still dig.
