is the finest of The Hold Steady's albums in my opinion.

Please insert furious dissent below:

seperation sunday

but im not furious

You're right

It's just a riff machine. The opening three track combo is brilliant, the pacing is right all the way through, and Killer Parties is the best album closer ever.

Now if only I could get hold of those Lifter Puller albums...

most probably, yes

boys and girls.. is a close second.
i find seperation sunday to be a bit weak.

i've been trying to get people to call me sunny d.

...cos I've got the good stuff kids go for!

Listening to it again now, love it so much.

least favourite

but still at the very least an 8/10. And for the duration of Most People Are DJs I'd be prepared to believe you if you told me it was the best album ever made by anyone.

I pretty much second this

I prefer the other two, but this is still pretty good. Especially Killer Parties.

yeah

I love love love Killer Parties.

I definitely think it's the most summery Hold Steady album.
