But last time I did it with the help of a grilfriend. I do however have a chain saw licence. That is about the most manly thing about me other than the obviouse ummm body parts.

"yeah i can put up a shelf" then proceed to drill about 20 holes into the wall, then blame the drill for being faulty and give up.

I got a spirit level and everything to do it.

However I don't think I used it properly as it slants notably but without slanting so much that it causes books to fall off.

I think it added value to the house before we sold it.

but whether they put it up properly is a different thing. I shall be attempting some alcove shelving very soon and don't worry I'll keep you posted.
