Finally got the album at the weekend, even if I did have to pay £15 for it in HMV.

i've been meaning to get it for ages but didn't fancy forking out the exorbitant cost.
Got a voucher for my birthday, problem solved. On hearing it, I probably wouldn't have minded paying the cash though.

that el guincho album that people have been talking about sounds a lot like panda bear except with a growly spanish vocalist in place of the floaty beach boys stuff.
it's a lot faster and dancier
not as good, by any means.
It really is brilliant.

But £15? I think I got it off Amazon for £5...

but for the most part not that similar. no beats, less harmonies, acoustic guitar on nearly every track.

first album:
simple glitchy folktronica goodness.
second album: deeply emotional perfect acoustic pop.
