Bands are forever claiming to be influenced by Pink Floyd but,
Which ones actually sound like Pink Floyd?
"Pharaoh's Daughter" by Secret Machines?

I stole it from Freemasonry

There is a song on Anathema's "Alternative 4"
That is very Floydian maybe "Lost Control" and some Folydian moments on Anathema's "A Fine Day To Exit" as well.
Also...
You can see the influence in a few Coral songs, notably part of Astronomy Domine being ripped off blatantly in The Operator.
And Pure Reason Revolution are very Floyd influenced at times, can't think of a particular song at the moment though.
I know, isn't it amazing?
So often I'll be listening to something and then suddenly get an urge to put "Meddle" or "Wish You Were Here" on.
Listening to "Atom Heart Mother" at mo
The Soundtrack Of Our Lives
frequently sound like Pink Floyd... mind you, they sound like pretty much every 60s hippy rock act put together!
The Besnard Lakes
Kind of give off that vibe as well. Pink Floyd meets The Moody Blues.
WEISSENSEE by NUE on NUE!
it's so Floydian.
Voyage 34
by Porcupine Tree sounds so much like The Wall, it's almost a complete rip-off.

Strange
I thought there was loads of bands that actually sounded like Pink Floyd. I have really been looking since starting this thread but I.m coming up kind of empty eared.
Just listened to
23 by Blonde Redhead for the first time, and halfway through 'SW' there's a great um, 'tribute' to Atom Heart Mother!

The Black Parade = The Wall. At least, The End = In The Flesh? and Mama = The Trial. To a hilarious degree.

..Black Mountain and Comets On Fire to a certain extent at least.
Dream Theater
"Repentance" from Systematic Chaos could have come from DSOTM or WYWH such is the floydness.
