Anyone there? Absolutely phenomenal, I thought. Only the second time I'd seen him...was hoping for an appearance from Steve Reid, but actually it really didn't matter.
Also, verdicts on Indigo2 as a venue?

how did he do it?
did he mix just his own tracks? did he play his new tracks?
I liked...
the colourful balls strung from the ceiling.
I also enjoyed james holden popping fuck buttons into his set.
the version of 'smile around the face' four tet played was AMAZING.
Yes yes yes
Holden was amazing.
Pain in the 'arris to get to
but great sound, layout, easy to get to the bar when I was there
re
all sounds good. missed the show last night. am heading over there for the junior boys / kelley polar one tonight which should be a hoot.
yeah good
venue but shame about the location. sound was great but it only really got going when hebden was playing. there were only about 10 people dancing when james holden was playing. i wasn't one of them. but i also wasn't one of the people sitting cross legged on the floor for 3 fucking hours. i also had never heard sunburnt hand of the man but i thought they were great, if a little overly long. the start was amazing - sounded like fuck buttons. also, i couldn't believe it when holden played bright tomorrow. i felt like the only person who had noticed and was going nuts.
but yeah.. hebden was phenomenal. so much better than i imagined he would be live.
i thoroughly recommend going to any of the other indigo nights for a change of scene... the turn around between sets was about a minute. so well run.
that's it
I wish I went to this
:(
Absolutely brilliant.
Fairmont was a bit dull which is sorta what I expected, Sunburned were fucking amazing, James Holden's mini set was equally amazing (he played Harmonia!). 3rd and best time I've seen Four Tet...the stuff off the 'Ringer' EP sounded colossal.
The sound was excellent, the bar was easy to get to and the EYOE drinks promotions prices were a nice surprise. It's just a shame about the venue's shitty location and pretty sterile atmosphere.
by "difficult location"
do people mean "not in central / east london"?
i saw 65days there a few weeks ago. it kicked out just before 11 and i was home within an hour, even taking the aesthetically-pleasing-but-longer way round (jubilee to canary wharf, DLR to bank, northern line home). it was quite pleasant really.
true
it's the psychology of not being sited in central London - when the Jubilee Line does its job all is well - but this weekend there's no service so it really is a "difficult location" for the saturday/sunday EYOE gigs, for many people anyway
HOW DID HE DO IT??
did he mix just his own tracks? did he play his new tracks?
was
phenomenal. Unexpectedly brilliant.
He
played his own stuff but with extensions here and there, live mixing etc. As above, the new EP really came alive when played, the first couple of minutes of Ringer were mind-blowing.
