Now I agree that it certainly is more appropriate at some gigs more so than others, but surely is should be accepted and embraced in the right environment.
For example, a post-punk/hardcore/indie band playing in a venue such as KCLSU should not get annoyed when a few people end up on the peripheries of the stage. None of the crowd minded, why did they. Surely it comes with the territory. Or at least do an announcement asking everyone to stop instead of waiting 'til the end, coming into the crowd and literally telling people off.
So whats the general consensus on crowd surfing these days?
