I'm off there on Saturday for the Mogwai-headlined all-dayer but it looks a little bit out of the way to say the least...

What's the best way to get there please?

Very easy to get to!

A number of buses run by from Glasgow city centre and it will take no longer than 5/10 mins on a bus.
Has been a while since I got a bus but I think the 4, 38, 38a/b go past there. There are no doubt lots more buses that go by but I am not sure what they might be.
There is also a train station next to it, I think its pollokshields east but it might be pollokshields west.
Sorry I am also assuming that you will be coming from the city centre.
It would be about £5 in a hack if you couldnae be fucked with public transport.

Cheers man

I'll need to get to/from the station - thing is, doesn't finish until 1am :S

I'm guessing about a million people are going to be leaving after Mogwai so I can just follow them, it's getting there that I was more bothered about.

It'll be the day after payday so think I may get a taxi :D

To be honest at that time of night....

most folk I would imagine will walk back into town as it would only take maybe about 20mins or so.

P.S

That should be a fucking excellent gig and I am well fucked off I didn't get tickets at the time.

Ace

I'll just follow the crowd then :)

Thanks for the directions!

If you need a taxi

0141 649 5555 for Hampden cars if you need a cheap taxi - but Lo-Pan is right its a 20 min walk

Buses and trains can get you there.

Buses: 23, 38/A/B/C, 45, 47, 57.
You will be 10 mins away on said bus (38) from my parents house. How cool! :)

Train: Pollokshields East I think is one stop on the Neilston line about 4 mins from the city.

Easy!

^^^^Thats a far more coherent answer

than my ramblings.

Train

From central

The Cathcart circle Newton or Neilston trains (20 past 40 to and 10 to the hour normally)

Get off at Pollokshields East turn left at the top of the stairs and hey presto your at the rather run down looking tramway

Should take no more than 8 minutes from the city (I do this journey every day)

that or get any bus to Shawlands.. Train is far easier

and don't get the bus actually to Shawlands

get off at Albert Drive, just ask the driver

ok

your right...

i shall see you there

its going to be brilliant.

walking isn't too bad from memory, but i'm a bit unsure about getting home to wherever i'm staying that night, somewhere up near byres road I think...

Does anyone have any idea of stagetimes or the like?

As a (probably) pointless aside

Would anyone happen to have a spare ticket/tickets for this? I refused the nasty online booking fees in favour of ticketscotland, who had sold out of their allocation. By the time I returned to the online tickets, they were all gone.

Yours Optimistically,

alister
