I know of a few promoters in that region.
I would say broadly
indie pop.

indie pop isn't my forte I'm afraid, so don't know anyone else really.
try the gander in bournemouth direct. think bhone does a lot of stuff there.
Also the railway in winchester or joiners in southampton.
no idea about portsmouth for indie pop i'm afraid.
don't contact ejector seat in southampton, coz that's what i'm involved in, and we're slowing down a bit from now on.
