Don't get me wrong, i know my Zywiec from my Carling Cold, and appreciate the European brews, but this week my eyes have been opened to the new don of all lager beers (well it's not exactly 'new', but it is at Abduls). I don't remember being pissed off four cans of beer since i was a wee chap, but three times this week this stuff has done the job. I'm talking about Tyskie, it's dynamite, better than Stella, Oranjeboom, anything. I LOVE Polish people.
Something about smallers
^ hoo-viss?
'Best of Both'
medium sliced
Hahahahaha.
Heh.
The cheap alcoholic taste of spectacular summers past!
Oranjeboom!
Lech < Zywiec < Tyskie < Okocim
best lager
is that chinese stuff they sell in rescue rooms in nottingham. tsingtao, i think. i also liked rolling rock when they used to sell it in a few clubs around here.
i don't get pissed off bottled lager for some reason.
unless it's the bigger bottles. I expect i'd feel more drunk off one pint of Stella than ten bottles of Bud.
I know i'm resurrecting dead threads
but Lech is powerful, brilliant lager. The polish stella FTW!
I like Zywiec best.
Tyskie comes a close second with Lech & Zubr bringing up the rear.
The most hilarious polish beer though is simply called 'Strong', it probably means pussy in polish.
zywiec is awesome
Chang Beer you get in Thailand is apparently the don
Oranjeboom is tramp juice.
chang is okay
it does the trick but its hardly a brilliant one...
the best kept secret of south-east asia beer-wise, as any self respecting gap-year clone will tell you, is Beer Lao. Its ace!
i know it is far east, not south-east asia
but if you can ever kirin ichiban on tap anywhere other than a wetherspoons, it's well worth it, gorgeous, slightly rice-influenced flavour. many yums
