the band are just his mates i think. ive been wondering what it means when bands say theyre playing 'Cake Shop' in the US, is that just some standard venue name?
Had Black Kids play there at CMJ. Its literally a tiny bar that sells booze and cakes with a record shop in the back and a small "venue" in the bassment. The sounds pretty bad but I had a lovely muffin, a cold beer, bought an Atlas Sound 7" and watched a gig...nice
I tried watching that Dan Deacon video on Youtube before, but had no idea what was going amongst the smudgy blur. Now I can realise it for all its brother-of-Timmy-Mallet greatness.
i was just about to ask about this
what channel number is it?
in fact i'm going to go check it out now
I saw Bangers and Mash on the site earlier.
and it was the greatest!
i didn't expect Jay Reatard to be good
but he is, it is 'he' rather than 'they' isn't it?
it is yes

i've watched that video about twenty times and i still can't tell :D
the recorded version is very different; i prefer it slightly: http://hypem.com/track/487891
give it a listen there.
i like jay reatard a lot.
I think it is someone crowd surfing into a tree and taking quite a bit of it with him :D
he.
seems like an intense chap.
ok
Jay Reatard is Luke Pritchard's evil twin brother.
Or the other way round perhaps?
i think i look slightly
like jay reatard with his long hair.
a bit
i think he looks like diver.
the Pixies
documentary's pretty depressing...
Yeah
There's no overwhelming sense of glory, no laughathon with therapists and Dave Mustaine, you just come away with a great pity for all four of them.
The video quality is fantastic!
