This Is It Forever presents show no.2...

The Packhorse, Leeds
14th May 2008

Maybeshewill
-Furious walls of blistering rock action unfold majestically through atmospheric guitars and galloping drums. Unafraid of genre constraints, and far from mere imitators, this is the instrumental rock without the clichés and pretension.
"Fantastic Band... We’re in awe, It sounds absolutely brilliant" – Huw Stevens, Radio 1

worriedaboutsatan
-Electronic music with the fragility and euphoria that comes with a warm and more than human heart. Taking the jittering Autechre blueprint and melding it with Explosions in the Sky’s ambient subtlety, fans of minimal, glitch, microhouse and post rock will be astounded.
"If there’s only one band you need to know in 2008, then this lot are it. what are you waiting for?" – Darren Taylor, Rock Sound

Everybody Is Going To Die
-EIGTD employ stampedes of tribal percussion with guitars that twist and turn through melody like bird song. Your feet will not touch the floor from start to finish. Literally.
"FUCKING HELL!!!!" - Me

There's also some experimental electronica/ dubstep/ minimal techno tunes inbetween courtesy of Traffic Magazine's Richard Silk.

YYYYYYYES

this is part of the maybeshewill/ worriedaboutsatan tour happening in may, so come along! this will be good!

what day of the week

is it?i work full time you see but i would very much like to attend if its on a saturday :)

unfortunately

it's on a wednesday...
doors won't open til 8pm anyway- ditch the job!!

haha i wish

awwww :( i fucking hate jobs!

d'oh!

should be an ace gig though.
Everybody Is Going To Die have three drummers, one of whom does stuff for Chris Clark live and two guitarists who make glitchy electronica as Ultre and Conrad- it's a supergroup!!
Ultre will be featuring in one of our next line-ups too, so watch out for that...

rubbish

it's harder to get to leeds on a wednesday! and this is a whole new venue i have no idea how to find...

strangely enough it's easier to find

than the church!
i can play mr. directions again if need be!

but surely

nowhere's easy to find in leeds! i suspect a wednesday night may be too tough. *sigh*. when are you in manchester again? i apologise muchly for the lack of 10th may action, but we still want you to play for us soon!

ahhh no worries...!

and yeah, leeds is a minefield thanks to the immensly stupid one way system.

as for manchester, not sure when we're back! whenever someone books us i guess!! we're over that way this weekend though for the warehouse project with ricardo villalobos... we could say hi at some point!

sounds good!

give us a shout if you fancy a pint at any point, we shall be celebrating bank holiday :)

cool!

;-)

getting closer

by the second

what a wonderful line-up

wish it was further south

well we're on tour with maybeshewill

in may, and we hit birmingham & derby... see www.myspace.com/worriedaboutsatan for dates!
plus on thursday we're in oxford!

i know about the oxford date already sir

tis already on my calendar

proper excited

her name is calla said they played with you the other day, and it was 'excellent'. Glad they're on the Sheffield date as well. All the line-ups are amazing - it feels a bit weird to be at the top of some of them. :s

writingyourbandnamelikethis

istotallycoolandshit,yeah?

Apparently so

Depends whether you consider it to be three words with separate meanings, or one collection of syllables that sound nice. I honestly can't remember what our reasoning was five years ago when we decided thats what we'd call ourself.

hello!

i can't frickin wait for this!
oh, and just so you know tohereknowswhen, the original worriedaboutsatan was my name on the dEUS forum- i contributed to the covers cd they were organising, so that became the very first worriedaboutsatan song!
