HOOOOOOO! HOOOOOO! WOA-OOOOH! HUUUUUH! HEEEEEEYOOOOO! WOOO-A-OOO-AOOOOO!"

Hallelujah

by Nick Cave

"Pace Is The Trick"

Drums fade and Bass feedback rises to crescendo.

Run! Christian Run!

by the Super Furry Animals.

Listen now and agree

no.

guitar heaven.

Converge

Jane Doe.

Just the last bit where it goes all slow and melodic, you can hardly count an 11 minute song as an outro.

I remember reading an interview with Black Francis

and he said that originally Number 13 Baby was supposed to be an instrumental.

Free Bird!

Haha

decemberists

california one / youth and beauty brigade.

Pretty much the whole of youth and beauty though

It is great

I want it to last another five minutes. Debaser has a great outro as well.

Here And Now by Ride - that's a good one.

Do you mean outro for a record or just within a song?

If within a song, I Am The Resurrection by the Stone Roses.

If on an album, Let's Not Shit Ourselves (To Love and to be Loved) off of Lifted, by Bright Eyes. Perhaps.

The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

That is the king of all bass riffs

"Stereodee" by Mogwai

Two minutes of song, ten minutes of feedback, daft house-music bit right at the end.

i just tried

but i couldn't come up with anything.

This sort of thing should probably be left to professional musicians

yes

the answer is: drown - smashing pumpkins (the long version on the 'singles' soundtrack with the amazing feedback at the end) oo-err

;

cooper temple clause - written apology.

In answer to my own question;

The vamp at the end of Found A Job by Talking Heads is pretty damn tasty. Check it out of you don't know it. You'll thank me!

for a fade-out outro:

Hopeless by the Wrens.

For a song which ends in incredible guitar solos stacked up on one another for 2 and a half minutes but which doesn't actually fade out - Most People Are DJs by the Hold Steady.

I really like

'So Long as We Keep Our Bodies Numb We're Safe' by 'Midtown', off of ' Forget What You Know'

Not much indie cred for me here

but surely the best outro is The Beach Boys - God Only Knows, there is nothing else that comes close to that.
