in the words of 'anonymous'...

Totally lousy April Fools joke.
"April Fools! We gargle balls!"
^ is that someone from DiS, btw?
and didn't they say the first single
would begin with a T and have 11 letters or something? Tranquilize
Rubbish.
*tabernacular
i thought it was agreed upon?
Gotta be fake
but the cover of make believe hardly boasted a wealth of ideas...
My money's on
Thalidomide for the lead single
A red herring
Very good. Very clever.
Very... modern.
I don't understand the good will
people have for Weezer. I don't dislike them and have only heard singles and odd album tracks, but they just seem nothing special. Particularly lyrically. I know that's not everything but I can't see why people are expecting something fresh and great - didn't they last release Beverley Hills? Have they apologised or something?
The Blue Album and Pinkerton
is worth a lot of goodwill (two of the best albums of the 90s).
I know that means bugger all with this release, it's more hope than expectation really. But if R.E.M. can pull something out of the hat with their latest release, *shrugs* maybe Weezer can.
Aye
Beverly Hills = worst song ever.
all these people talk about 'beverly hills'
and an album called 'make believe', but i don't recall them ever being part of the weezer back catalogue...
River in Egypt?
theyve only made 3 albums havent they?
they made my favourite ever album
I will always have goodwill and hope when it comes to weezer
TBH
if they call it anything else, I'd still be a bad idea. At least trade off the goodwill of the name guys. Even if it has been years since you wrote anything all that great.
Yes, I'm a hater.
Goodwill aplenty
and they deserve it. They've written some amazing records and tracks, and without them you probably wouldn't have a lot of decent bands around today...Biffy Clyro maybe.
they have..
at least one good album left in them.
Technically
this potential 'gag' was posted at 13:08, thus rendering any April Fool intentions fuct.
The question is thus: What happens to people when they done gone broken the April Fool rule?
Wedgie
It's a good stock punishment.
atomic?
But what about time zones?
Never underestimate the power of time zones.
its snow
joke.
Pitchfork just announced it's called weezer and the cd is going to be red.
So there we go. Probably more embarrasing for the band than anything else that people thought it was an april fools.
