here's a thing: relistening to this today, it's actually really pretty good, and doesn't suck at all.

in my head, tangled up in plaid, all of it really: pretty fucking good.

its not up there with the first 3 albums, but still: good stuff.

sweet jesus lord i hope i get to reading/leeds.

i never came!

properly great song.

Yep

Someone's In The Wolf
Long Slow Goodbye
ZZ Top Cover

I didn't even bother to purchase this.

I loved both R Rated and Songs For The Deaf but then I lost interest when this was released.

P.S. I really wish their debut album wasn't so damn difficult to get hold of, it's going for £40 plus on Amazon, I think they should re-release it.

whuh???

that's ridiculous. i bought the ltd edition vinyl (2000 copies or so) for £15 in january. the cd should be in most big chain stores for a tenner

Ok, that's strange.

I remember trying to find it online a year or so ago and couldn't find it anywhere. Now it's crazily expensive on Amazon. Confusion!

bizarre

i picked this album up for 5 quid in a virgin sale a few years ago.

look on ebay!

i might sell my copy for THAT kind of dough.

yeah it's better than

Era Vulgaris which to be fair sounds like a load of Eagles of Death Metal B-sides (bar 3's and 7's and Sicksicksick)
I was hugely dissapointed with that album...

Lullabies

is a great album, I've never understood the slating it's got. Someone's In The Wolf is immense. And Skin on Skin is just filth. Filth is good.

Era Vulgaris is awesome!

But i agree, Lullabyes is very under rated

i really liked

the first track off EV.

something about a screw or something. dead good

my only complaint

was that it felt a bit long like most QOTSA albums. They should really just condense down to like 11-12 tracks on their albums.

i can't decide if this is my favourite or the first album

i think it's fantastic, listening to the album conjures up imagery of pagan sacrifice and witchcraft. Someone's in the Wolf and Tangled Up in Plaid are two highlights for me.

Even Josh is slating it in interviews now, saying "he was in a dark place" when he recorded the last album and the new one is them getting back to their best. Personally i think the new album is ruh-bish. Can't get into it at all.

yes

this album definitely deserves some credit. its great. Little Sister, You got a killer scene there man and burn the witch are three of queens' best songs. shame about Era Vulgaris though.

also WTF is with the first album going for 30 squid on ebay? has it been deleted or something?
