not overly

's okay

Apparently

My parents went there twice in two years

wow

!

there is more to Bristol than MunchMunch

there is erm...fortune drive...oh hang on

Are you at Bristol Uni?

Or are you from north-west London?

North-west London

how did you guess?

You said in another thread

that you know Rich Manber.

I did?

damn. And how do you know where he's from?

We had a conversation once

A really long conversation. Like a two hour conversation. Then I went to his clubnight and we talked a bit there. Now when I see him, he acts like I'm not even there :'(

You seem

to have this problem with a lot of people.

who are you replying to

there isnt anyone there? :S

really?

I wouldn't be too upset he wouldn't ignore someone intentionally he is just a bit of a daydreamer type sometimes and either wouldn't register you or wouldn't remember. :)

He added me to Facebook

But I'm going to pretend that that didn't happen and you just made me feel much better about myself. Thanks!

so tempted to trya nd find you on facebook now

but then you could also try and right me, the horrors.

I already have

I didn't find you

I just said I tried :P. After you said you knew Rich, I tried to work out who you were to see if I knew you, but I didn't get very far. Although I did find out he was friends with fishplums. Then I asked fishplums how they knew each other and fishplums told me. FUN TIMES.

who the who

is fishplums? I did try but gave up when I realised you could be anyone of a number of bristol profiles which i cant actually look at.
Facebook is ruining our lives.

fishplums owns your arse!

He's head admin on here.

meh I'm a noob

and also the very same Ricardo Manber would rip the piss if he knew I was on the DiS boards

Ahahahahaha

He is the indiest person ever but then also it's just *Rich* I've got pictures of him in a Spunge hoodie with spiky hair! It's not that he's cooler than here it's just all my friends have quite a low opinion of DiS.

Yes Sir.

Agreed.

Hating Park Street at the moment though. *shakes first in direction of Park Street*

I have to walk up it

every flippin' morning. My quads and hams are like marble now but there has yet to be a day where I haven't arrived to work LITERALLY melting.

And now Fopp is back

I won't be able to pay my rent.

Fopp.

Is it really back?

Yeah!

Well not yet. It's supposed to open on Thursday where Waterstones was at College Green. Can't wait!

Waterstones.

Is it really gone?

It does.

I can't stop stroking my calves. Or did you mean the sweating?

Me too!

It's horrible. I was actually going to say "But Park Street has *always* been on a hill", because that is true, but it might not have been what you were getting at.

What's Park Street ever done to you?

Apart from the small matter of being packed with posers?

Anyway. Yes! Bristol is indeed great.

YEAH!

What prompted

this bold proclamation anyway?

A not that interesting combination of events

James said there hadn't been a Bristol thread in a while, I told him to start one, he told me to start one, I started one.

I've travelled through Bristol

a few times, and went for a gig once at the Trinity Centre. I got lost on my way there and got ripped off in the taxi to Parkway after the gig :(

I'm off to bristol this afternoon

what should I do? I already have the Arnolfini bookshop down, but what else? Ideas, people!

BRISTOLISTHEBEST

i love my hometown so much.

arnolfini art gallery is ace
the watershed for films and food
the zoo for animals
the downs for dogging

Also (because I do live nearby)

The Cube!

The Cube is lovely

And you're forgetting the amazingness of thekla. Even if they do put on some shit sometimes.

I went to the zoo last month.

Good fruit bats.

Animals? In a zoo?!

*kills self*

Wander up Cheltenham/Gloucester Road.

It's a touch shabby, but in an entirely charming way. And has some ace tea/vintage shops.

well

said

favourite bristol road

I'm probably heading

down there shortly to see how much isn't open

and me

have a nice potter around

I am trying to get a mental picture

of what a mini DiS meetup might actually be like.

fun

but surprisingly embarrassing

hey guys

if there will at any point be dis drinks in Bristol, I want in.

yeah, next week.

BriDiStol meat up?

NOOOOOO

I'll miss out then :(

ill feel so young

im only just eighteen me

I'm a 1st year in uni

Most my friends are 18. :)

I wish I was 18!

Still, I tend to feel young in an awful lot of social settings these days. Most things I enjoy doing (walking, rock climbing etc) tend to attract a slightly older crowd. Most new people I meet are in their thirties and have actual careers and shit. Scary.

well

that was a completely useless post. It would of course be stupidly selfish of me to demand you wait for me to return to the country, but if you should decide that after the 13th would be ok, I wouldn't MIND. ;)

I say next week, I'm back on the 31st March

Let's find a gig. It'll be like Trail of Dead last year.

brill

idea

im in for a meat up brizzle stylee

everyone is coming to merzbow no?

:)

That alone is encouraging!

i think

bristol people are truely nice.
although my friend from guilford tell me we stare at people a lot.

he's just wierd.

Can I come?

What about those Johnny Foreigners at The Kla? Next week is it not?

Louisiana, no?

O, yes.

I'm boycotting that place.

Omg, why?

The Louie is probably my favourite venue in Bristol. Not that I can go, so this is something of a worthless conversation.

They didn't pay us.

We didn't expect to get paid, nor did we ask. But, you know. It would have been nice. How are these things supposed to work?

yes!

I can get my shoe back :)

:D

yes you can

and your tupperware!

Man Man at Start The Bus?

Okay, cool.

Erm...

No?

shit, I actually can't do that night

I'm going to see Black Mountain \m/

and it's in the middle of my exams, so late nights are outtathaquestion.

Black Mountain isn't the same night

Is that what you're saying? Black Mountain isn't the same night.

Man 'O' Man

with Chris Tarrant at Oceana? (y)

nah

i just didnt notice you

I'm starting university there in September

and quite looking forward to it. Anyone else starting at Bristol this year?

Fuck yeah

THE GREET BRISTOL MEAT UP

Friday 18th April

4 or 5 Magicians
@ Mr Wolfs

Who be in? Who be out? Who be shakin' it all about?

nah

i mean, yeah!

i'll be the judge of that

"big boy" so-called.

WE'RE DOING IT ON MAY 15

Man Man at Start the Bus. If you could just have some *patience*, I'll start a thread in due course.

:D

you know

we could like, now im just throwing this out there, but we could meet more than once, non?
