Quite random but I need to get a band with 5 members and a sound guy from Stansted Airport to Bournemouth and back the next day as cheap as possible. Anyone have any experience with hiring a minibus for something like this?

That is a big mission!! Stanstead goes into Tottenham Hale for the tube then get a train is your best bet. Although you can probably hire vans/minibuses and stuff from Stanstead too..

trains are probably going to cost £300-400 so that's why i'm thinking a minibus

when you could easily just look on the internet for 'hire cars' - its easy really, but 'wow a band from sweden'

Dunno why anyone would do that, bands from sweden for the most part aren't much to be proud of. My girlfriend's cd collection is about half swedish and most of it is shocking...

for two days you can probably get one for about £100 if you shop around..Stanstead is on the m11 so even one from Essex/East london would be fine. Petrol is another £50ish. Or you could find a willing fan of the band with a big vechile to help!

Alternatively...National Express from Victoria. Costs about 30 quid (18 quid if you buy in advance) and takes just under 2 hours.

Woah! I catch a national express when I go down to London from Leicester, usually cost around £12-£16.
mega bus is very cheap!
get them down to victoria bus station and megabus it.

also the london - soton/bournemouth megabus is shit
hire a van, portobello are good. or if theres a mates van you can borrow and you're worried about insurance, dayinsure.com costs about £13/day for a transit. or ondryland (brum label) hire theirs out for about 60 quid, also has a gear cage which is handy for gear/drummers...
