xlex

Yeah it's a great lineup

I might even try and venture up to Birmingham for it

YUS

y.

i LOVE tubelord

i'll be coming to see them at the social with data.select.party. i'm excited! gotta put it in my diary!!

Make sure you do

It's gonna be one heck of a night. I'm going St Patrick's Day shopping on Monday to buy some appropriate things to decorate the venue with

haha

i just read about the decorations. apparently there will also be a LEPRECHAUN!!! and free things. care to shed some light on what we can expect? :D

Not just yet

Depends what treats I can find, but there will be some good stuff, to be sure, to be sure etc.

Actually I can tell you one thing: There'll probably be a bunch of free 7" singles from The Dudley Corporation as I found a heap of boxes in my parents garage last weekend which I didn't know I had. They're Irish, it's perfect!

they're one of the best uk bands

an i should be at kingston and brighton shows. with pictures :) btw has the release date for the single been pushed back?

they are one of the best uk bands

even if Municipal Waste give them a -100/10 single review in Rock Sound

That review was rubbish

"Turdlord"? I might form a band just so one day I can review Munshitipal Waste

And yeah, Mr Tangled Talk man, the shop date of the single has gone back 2 weeks to 31st March, but you'll still be able to buy it on the tour

Love this band!

Woo!

just bought tickets

for next monday.

i actually am really excited.

Seeya there! :-)

indeed you will

i'm going to wear something irish. it is gonna be grand.

the leeds date

on the 22nd is going to be amazing. Nisei + B>E>A>K aswell...royal park cellars

Oxford on Thursday

Mirror! Mirror! are headlining, I've never seen them so that'll be interesting. Plus it's £1.50 a pint all night

Aaah...

Saw them at MMISL's last show and they were so great.

I got their first E.P. thing from a little all-dayer in Margate and been listening to them non-stop pretty much since then.

I used to be obsessed by those tracks

But I love the new ones even more. Took a little longer to get into but now I'm convinced they're so much better

Check out Night Of The Pencils on www.myspace.com/tubelord - so good!

That one...

is just so brilliant.

I only joined the BSM site thing because of the Tubelord goodie being offered.

I geniunely love everything I've heard by this band so far.

Feed Me A Box Of Words is my favourite though... Ah, classic.

Oh yea

I still haven't got my This Town Needs Guns/Catx3 split.

I am.

I LOVE this band. Hopefully 2008 will be their year .

I'm just gonna give them a 10

So I don't have to chime in with FUCKING YES I LOVE THEM everytime there's a thread.

i saw them at the badge of friendship DIY fest

and thought they were gash and in the spirit of the day i bought their CD which also wasn't good. do they have new stuff out yet? i heard they're doing something with BSM nowadays

yes

i think they have a 7" coming out later this month.

Yep

Out at the end of this month. Give the new stuff a try, you never know, it could surprise you?

yeah maybe

i don't tend to right off bands based on one gig or demo, but i seem to remember thinking that they sounded like a worse version of some of the other bands playing...it was ages ago though so it's a bit hazy!

Theres a little bit about them in NME this week

page 17 i think, its very complimentary.

Can i start a backlash yet?

17

is my lucky number and weirdly, I received a copy of Live UK magazine this morning with a tiny interview I did on page... 17! Weird

Better get hold of NME now

NME tomorrow says about Tubelord

"Fizzy jerk-pop brilliance of which sounds like it's bubbling out of its vinyl prison while making best buddies with your ears", "There's something thrilling about the way their songs appear to dissolve and reconcstitute at will" and other nice things. Check it out

that's brilliant

they deserve great success, both because their music is fantastic and they seemed genuinely lovely when i met a couple of them.

bassist

has left apparently...

just now?

NEW SONG

fucking hell!! this is GREAT.

i LOVE this band.

CAPITALS.

I think their wicked

I will try get to the gig in York.

Oh yeah I still haven't got my CD's from you yet BSM I've E-mailed you twice... I just wana listen to the lovely Cats and Cats and Cats / This Town Needs Guns... and Meet Me In St Louis....

come to nottingham

instead

yes, come to the york gig

we need to support good bands playing here , its the first time in a long time there's been promoters putting on shows with genuinely interesting bands in york.

New video and song up on their myspace

i love those critters.

thought they were really good last night

shame about olev leaving but the replacement bassist last night was pretty tight.

the first band were ok, bit boring. second band went over my head but i had met one of them before and he's a nice guy so i don't want to slag them off :) tubelord were fantastic, lots of singing along too. data select party were very good i thought, nice dancey disco indie stuff. i enjoyed them.
the night was a bit of a weird one. no promised drinks promotion, free chocolate coins, the world's tallest leprachaun and a few green balloons. hmm.

and on the way home some weird eastern european guys tried to mug me by hugging me. very strange night.

that first band

Buy guitar tuners. I'll hate you less.

Second band were musically awesome. That drummer!

Tubelord were awesome. In everyway. My friend commented that it was like watching someone who is obviously going to do something very cool. I'd agree with that.

definitely

i love tubelord live.

i was really quite annoyed that pretty much everyone left after them though, that was very rude.

Yay for KingstonXcore!

And I actually know that joekpoltergeist guy, he was writing for a zine at the same time as me, I saw him on the train back from Buk and Skit.
