Drowned in Sound

Just listening to their debut album on paperthinwalls.com pretty impressive, 'My Gymnast Past' and 'Fuck the Countryside Alliance' are both massive slabs of intelligent punk rock.

Is the album out yet over here?

Oh yes.

Oh yes indeedy...

Those 2 aren't even some of the better tracks either

I agree. I love the anti-Thatcher sentiment of Fuck the Countryside Alliance

but it somewhat kills the energy of the first four tracks being there, I think.

Manchasm is probably my favourite track.

MARC FOLEY WAS RIGHT

the album mix of fingers become thumbs is killer too. It's my joint fave album of last year (along with sound of silver)

It's been out for ages.

Can't claim to like them though.

I like the "Is the album out yet over here?"

Makes me think that Wales is actually a small island festering in the pacific.

best album of last year

by far! Falco needs his own chat show, or at leased his own column.

Have you read his myspace blog?

Always good value.

Ain't no Do Dallas

but yeah it's well good. Tis intelligent but the 'punk' of mclusky sounds replaced by more of a barroom -hold steady kinda- sound. 8/10

Oh, which reminds me: FotL/Mclusky fans see the proton proton thread I'm about to start.

I think I'm fated

never to see any Falco band live. Admittedly I'd probably end up literally slobbering over his scared frame, but it's the experience that matters.

How do you think I feel living in LA?

Why Mclusky never headlined the Vans Warped Tour is a crime against humanity. I would have probably weathered the pain of seeing a dozen shit skater bands....

they're

supporting Les Savy Fav on Sunday aren't they? fun times!

cripes

i nearly forgot about that... yay for sunday!

"COLIN IS A PUSSY, A VERY PRETTY PUSSY"

I'd forgotten how much I love this album, thanks for reminding me to listen to it again!

definitely one of last years strongest albums

and they were excellent live as well!

cracking band

cracking album

wow

im listening to it on ptw and yeah, it really is good. i was pretty disappointed that they werent as funny as mclusky, but they rock harder, so thats nice

Andy Falkus

loves banter with the audiance, should have a chat/music show

a plague of onces

is a belting tune..YES.

I recently got back into this album

been playing it constantly. It's perfection to my ears, better than Do Dallas even. Fave album since Wolf Parade's clasic!

a great LP by a potentially great band

McLusky were absolutely amazing too, and live both bands are/were mind-blowing!

Is Falco...

the most talented person thats graced the UK music industry in the last 5 years?
