Just listening to Frames again. What a dissapointment this album was - how did this band turn so tedious and dull after one of the most confident debuts ever???
Only the iLiKETRAiNS effort was more of a let down.

yeah a lot of it is a bit meh
but i REALLY like the track 'The Frame'. A LOT. i think its up there with their best
Did everyone else get into the other two albums straight away?
I think i've only listened to Frames abotu three or four times since I bought it, I just can't seem to get into it, maybe I don't get "it" anymore, maybe "it" fell down the back of the sofa, maybe I should find out what the hell "it" is.

Absolute agreement. I like Unfamiliar and about half of Trail Of Fire/Life and that's about it.

Admittedly it took me loads of listens to really appreciate each song, but there is so much in each one, you cannot expect to say that you like or dislike it after just a few listens.
Anyone who is an oceansize fan from before this album should be fully aware of this fact. Tracks like commemorative, unfamiliar, only twin and the frame are quite simply some of the best music that I have ever heard.
