It is flipping great. Its really intense, I absolutely love the vocals on that album too. It made their swerve into cock-rock territory all the more painful
Jesus Christ Bobby sounds nothing like QOTSA, but particular songs on Halldor Laxness like 'Who's Hobo' and 'Romantic Exorcism' sound alot like them. I can't speak for the latest album though.
They are just brilliant. The album is really really good. I haven't heard anything before Halldor Laxness though, that might have to be a purchase in the next week or so...
but I remember finding Jesus Christ Bobby a bit much...possibly because when i bought it I thought I was buying Halldor Laxness - I was drunk at a gig when they supported Million Dead, I think - so it came as a bit of suprise when i played it.
Jesus Christ Bobby
Is a greatly underrated album. Everyone should own a copy.

I would love to go see them live but no dates as yet!
Halldor Laxness was okay
But bad enough for me to take back. All the best songs were on Rock Sound comps so I wasn't too fussed. Did they have an album after that?
new
They have a new album out soon, there are some songs from it on their myspace page!

I was going to say
Jesus Christ Bobby sounds nothing like QOTSA, but particular songs on Halldor Laxness like 'Who's Hobo' and 'Romantic Exorcism' sound alot like them. I can't speak for the latest album though.
i quite enjoyed
halldór laxness.
jesus christ bobby is, as many people have already stated, fecking intense stuff.
good though.
i also like the fact that they can never post a picture of their album cover anywhere as photobucket keeps taking it down!
yep
I know, i like a band that is not the norm and they ain't! They are way underated!
Indeed
They are just brilliant. The album is really really good. I haven't heard anything before Halldor Laxness though, that might have to be a purchase in the next week or so...
