Drowned in Sound

I was listing to this 50/60's classic last night, and it just hit me, how FUCKING wrong the lyrics are.....i think to emphasis my point, just imagine your in a band, and one day someone brings some new lyrics in and says "hey guys what do you think of this?"...........

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe you're old enough
To give me love
And now it hurts to know the truth, woah

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know that it's wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes, woah

So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here, before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far, woah

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl

would you phone the police straight away?.........

any other peadophile songs out there that have flown under the radar?

Whats wrong with this?

They are song lyrics, not a statement of intent

The boss

"Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Im on fire

Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
Im on fire
"

It's Ok, though, because it was about when he was a kid. Or something.

HA!

Brilliant, only in the musical arena can you be openly perverse, and no one pays attention....if i wrote this and left it around the office, questions would be asked.....

to be fair

he is telling her to go away because she is too young. it's not like he's singing 'my love for you is perfectly fine'.

yeah..

i agree ultimatly, he has turned her away, but you can tell he has REALLY considered it....most people would just say no straight away, but he has gone.....hhhmmmmmmmm maybe, actually no, well, erm, no. its a definate no, i think......."Get out of here, before I have the time
To change my mind"

if she had stayed a moment longer, this song would have a darker tone....

But they are just lyrics

that tell a story, and not necessarily autobiographical anyway

Travis - U16 Girls

i can't hear this without thinking of Renton in Trainspotting - must be the scottish-ness.

Travis- U16 Girls

although I'd say its possibly more of a warning against it myself

I met a girl in L.A.
The million dollar kind
She was all for all or nothing
She was open all the time
But when I called her number
Her mother's on the line sayin'
You've no business
As God's my witness
With a child as young as mine

[Chorus]
So make sure that she's old enough
Before you blow your mind
She may look like she knows enough
But look in her eye
And if so
Let her go
You'll let her down in style

La la lala la laa la la lala la X4

I met a girl in Paris
She talked like Vera Lynn
And her eyes were full of dew drop
The moment I walked in
She was awfully nice
The kind that likes to win
But if I'd been wiser
A whole lot wiser
Then I might have thought again

Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas - Little Children

Little children, you better not tell on me
I'm tellin' you
Little children, you better not tell what you see
And if you're good
I'll give you candy and a quarter
If you're quiet like you oughta be
And keep a secret with me

I wish they would go away
Little children, now why aren't you playin' outside
I'm askin' you
You can't fool me, 'cause I'm gonna know if you hide
And try to peek
I'm gonna treat you to a movie
Stop your gigglin', children do be nice
Like little sugars and spice

You saw me kissin' your sister
You saw me holdin' her hand
But if you snitch to your mother
Your father won't understand

I wish they would take a nap
Little children, now why don't you go bye-bye
Go anywhere at all
Little children, I know you would if you tried
Go up the stairs
Me and your sister, we're goin' steady
How can I kiss her when I'm ready to
With little children like you around
I wonder what can I do around
Little children like you

Not necessarily a paedophile song

but there is the rather dodgy Beatles classic "Run for Your Life"

Well I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl

Well you know that I'm a wicked guy
And I was born with a jealous mind
And I can't spend my whole life
Trying just to make you toe the line

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl

Let this be a sermon
I mean everything I've said
Baby, I'm determined
And I'd rather see you dead

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl

I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little girl
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na

Definitely somthing of the child-sniffer about this one

Each time I see a little girl
of 5 or 6 or 7
I can't resist a joyous urge to smile and say,
"thank heaven for little girls
For little girls, get bigger, every day
thank heaven for little girls
they grow up in the most delightful way
those little eyes so helpless and the appealing
one day we will flash and send you crashing through the ceiling
thank heaven for little girls
thank heaven for them all
no matter where, no matter who
without them, what would little boys do
thank heaven, thank heaven, thank heaven for little girls

those little eyes, so helpless, and appealing
one day will flash and send you crashing through the ceiling
thank heaven for little girls
thank heaven for them all
no matter where, no matter who
without them, what would little boys do
thank heaven,
thank heaven,
thank heaven for little girls
thank heaven for little girls

Serge Gainsborg

Wrote an entire album about his lusting for a 14 year old girl from Sunderland called Melody Nelson.

Not sure what else to say apart from its a bit odd..

But....

where are all the songs from females lusting for pubesent boys?

"you give me those looks,
putting stickers in your merlin 1999 premier league sticker books.

Your driving me bonkers,
I want you to play with MY conkers"

women are all about the conkers.

Cliff Richard singing 'Daddy's Home',

Truly sick! - i cant reproduce the lyrics here as i'd get barred for life. Even thinking about the words to that song gives me the urge to disguise myself as an infant school. Ban this sick filth - NOW!!!!

He also wrote a hit song for a child star

About how much she loved sucking lollipops...

everyone's gone to the movies

Kids if you want some fun
Mr. LaPage is your man
He's always laughing, having fun
Showing his films in the den
Come on, come on
Soon you will be eighteen
I think you know what I mean
Don't tell your mama
Your daddy or mama
They'll never know where you been
CHORUS:
Everyone's gone to the movies
Now we're alone at last

Listen to what I say
He wants to show you the way
Right down the hallway with open arms
To teach you a new game to play
Come on, come on
Soon it will be too late
Bobbing for apples can wait
We know you're used to sixteen or more
Sorry we only have eight

CHORUS

Kids if you want some fun
See what you never have seen
Take off your cheaters and sit right down
Start the projection machine

CHORUS

the thing that is weird

is that i'm sure this song was a massive worldwide hit...I still hear it regularly on the radio today. Lets be honest, it is a bit of a tune.

no one tops dave navaro solo album

'i wish i was your farther and that you were my daughter, we could keep secrets!'
