mine is 'the money will roll right in'.

it contains the best opening lines of any song ever:
"i'm going to hollywood, they'll see that i'm so good/i won't care how i feel, and i'll get to fuck brooke shields!"

it's been covered by nirvana, mudhoney and others, but the best will always be the original:

'Long Island'

by The Wave Pictures.

Greatest thing, like, ever for me right now.

'doesn't matter much'

by blood red shoes

but you should know I am the real Slim Shady

that song's good but I raise you pretty much anything on the last album by Super Furry Animals album, or "Your Little Hoodrat Friend" by The Hold Steady

Mystery Jets - Flakes

and also MIA - Paper Planes.

Sonic Youth

Teenage Riot

i like the RTX version

my fave at the moment is probably The Devil Is Dope by The Dramatics. It's an anti drugs song (which is lame) and the groove is a bit sluggish (they probably could have done with some bad weed), but the vocals are just awesome. The middle guy is going "THE DEEEEVIL IS DOOOPE" and the low guy is going "BA DA BOODABA" and the high guy is going "AAAAAOOOOOW", and the rest are just sort of grunting. And it's got an evil sounding fuzz guitar riff, and about 4 different parts, and loads of pretty damn dramatic strings.

Damn, that took too long. I've changed my mind now.. My new favourite song is D.I.S.C.O by Black Lace

Alexisonfire
