What's the general opinion here on these?

I really like them live
dunno about on record. I could imagine they're prettty damn fine though... *imagines*
I've heard a few tracks on compilations
And wasn't all that impressed, but I've been told by a few people that they're worth seeing live. Don't they were computer monitors on their head or something?
Hmmm
I don't remeber that but then it was a tiny pub in Lancaster so they might not have pulled out of the stops. They must have powerful necks
I'd say they're probably
better live than on record actually which may partially explain why they aren't massive.
Maybe their name
is just too awesome for the record-buying public to handle?
Or maybe the name's too emo
?
Awesomely emo.
Totally em-awesome
What?
David Lynch has gone Emo?
Hee Hee
^^^^^
Are they really an emo lot then?
I can't stand bands who nick lines and names from films and use them for evil purposes. See McFly.
No not at all
MelesMeles probably got it right with his description below.
that's ok then
it's not from a film. :-P
(shut yr eyes, that is. not mcfly)
Its a lame name! LOL
.
SYEAYBIF
are amazing
like if !!! had choonchoonchoons
Most underrated band in Leeds?
Having given them a proper listen now
I have decided that I really, really like this band.
They sound like At The Drive-In covering The Rapture.
Yep
They should, at the very least
be stuck on a battle of the band names bill with I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness.
When I first saw them (~11/04)
they were simply massive ATDI copyists. Since then they seem to have grown into themseles alot and are better for it.
I think I'm seeing them on Friday...
You won't be disappointed
Of course not, iFR! are headlining.
In that case
it should be an awesome night.
Probably
My favourite live band of the past year. They make such a ducking din, it's great. Having seen them a couple of years back to three people at Retro Bar in Manchester I was blown away, and I was thrilled to see them playing the Academy a coupld of weeks ago on the Hadouken tour. That was a strange one though, like an out of control school disco. There was one kid at the side of the room who looked like he was dealing, he had bloody glo sticks.
Yea Shut Your Eyes
are playing at the Brudenell on Firday in Leeds.
My band are playing too.
Forward Russia
Shut Your Legs
Scaramanga Six
International Trust
Eureka Machines
Far From the Dance
swish
That's a pretty good line up
tis a
very good line-up, hope it goes well for you Si.
Cheers
!
you are correct
sir
www.myspace.com/internationaltrust
i love them
soooooooooooooooooooooo good.
What time are you due on?
I've got work drinks in Horseforth before I go.
9ish
i think
I'll be there by then.
I'll be tall, in glasses dressed like an indie Cary grant.
You'll be on stage.
dream
boat
i think
they are quite boring and sometimes a huge les savy fav/!!! rip off but they are good in what they do.
Go see em live
mate. You may change your opinion.
ive played with these guys before
it was half empty the room, and it was only like in july or something.
It's not really my thing, but they had so much energy and were so tight as a band it was difficult not to like them. plus all the ones i spoke to were really lovely nice people.
I hope something kicks off for them
dom gourlay
cool dude
Theyre very, very good
but last time I heard them... lets just say they seemed very "heavily influenced" by blood brothers...
I think they're
influences are pretty varied though to be fair, which makes them even more exciting as you can see/hear many different things without pigeonholing them to any one specific genre.
their
Doh!
Drop The Decade
is the best song of all time ever.FACT....kind of.
i saw them supporting Forward Russia sometime last year
they're brilliant live, very ATD-I.
I Will Meditate
And Then I Will Destroy You is possibly one of the best b-sides of the llast 5 years.
Factoid.
I saw them...
...supporting Hadouken! back in october and I thought they were pretty rubbish. but then again, one of my favourite bands were on after them (The Ghost Frequency) so I was probably just too clouded by excitement at that to 'get' them properly.
Seen em
quite a few times and cannot believe they are bigger... one late show they did at Barfly in particular stands out
Brilliant energy and even better song structures
I do think they've improved over the last couple of years
and they were pretty good supporting '!!!' earlier this year but none of the recorded stuff has really held my interest thus far.
I saw them support Forward, Russia!
I saw them support Forward, Russia! 18 months or so ago. I thought they were great live.
On record i've gone off them. Maybe I should see them live again.
great band!
but not as well received in oxford as i'd hoped, but maybe that's par for the course here these days anyway...+

Infact,
is anyone else going on Friday (Brudenall Social Club, Leeds)?
Well, aart from SiTrust and I.
I'd imagine they aren't bigger
because there's no album yet. I'll certainly give it a go when it somes
With a bit of luck
our album will be finished and out next year :)
