i use sites like hypemachine and search forums, but they're nowhere near as organised or easy as a site like albumbase or bitorrent!

Not quite the same, and quite time consuming, but I used to get quite alot of music off of there when I was in halls.

about albumbase to be honest! is it ever coming back? or is it just totally dead?
when really obscure stuff i wanted wasnt on there i just used to do a google blog search (i dont like torrents). it's more time consuming but works if you persevere!

am currently listening to the new Girls Aloud album as a result

you can do it with other sites like mediafire etc,it searches the site for stuff.
Can be a bit tedious, but you always get what you want...
