Snazzy titled thread I'm sure you'll agree.

So what great 2007 releases have there been this year, that haven't or won't be released in the UK this year (or ever)? Here's your chance to praise them on a UK site that might otherwise ignore them. What with being foreign releases an' all.

Anyway. My list, with countries of origin listed after them (in order of purchase).

Chapi Chapo & les petites musiques de pluie- ar mizioù du (France)
Paul Duncan- Above The Trees (America)
Hans Appelqvist- Sifantin Och Mörkret (Sweden)
Breathe Owl Breathe- Canadian Shield (America)
Slaraffenland- Private Cinema (Denmark)
The Motifs- Away (Australia)
Wet Nose Hero/ Warriorette- The Split (Canada)
Bowerbirds- Hymns For a Dark Horse (America)
Choir Of Young Believers- Burn The Flag (Denmark)

Pretty sure none of the above have come out here, although that is a big shame. Lovely songs on all. I'd talk more about each, but that takes even more effort than I have at the moment.

Say What You Want To Say To Me by Spanish For 100, (America)!
E-mailed the band to ask how to get hold of it.
Definitely not out here yet, had to order it from America.
Interesting thread by the way.

...

Ghastly City Sleep - EP ( americ

a )

Remate - no land recordings ( Spain )
16pac - endless work in progress ( France )

that slaraffenland

album am really good. i know nothing about any of the other ones. sorry.

Mongrel - The Number 12 Looks Like You

I imported it myself, pretty sure Eyeball don't have any kind of distribution over here. Amazing album though.

are they masks - dd/mm/yyyy

is canadian..as is welcome kings by daddy's hands.

both are great...

i saw dd/mm/yyyy play live and

didn't really "feel it". what are they like on record?

Bowerbirds are wonderful

They truly are

yup

That album of theirs just seems to get better and better for me. I thought that I'd just like them a bit, but the songs don't lose any of their charm with repeated listens.
Do you have their first ep? I think I should really get around to buying it.

Chapi Chapo

Didn't expect to see that name. You can download it at error lo-fi

I found out about him

from the lovely Get Echo blog.
Ordered the album from Chapi Chapo chap himself, and it was only about £5, for a lovely handmade/assembled cd and packaging. Was very impressed.

Haha

I've just realised that so far i've only bought about 4 or 5 albums that have been released this year.
