Transatlanticism

Tiny Vessels

the photo album

a movie script ending or 405 or transatlanticism

Kinda

The first song on transatlanticism is my favourite song "this is the new year, and I don't feel any different"
the chords and the drum's are bootifull as bernard matthews would say.
and I rekon the photo album is the best album, it's less twee than their later stuff and the drummings far superior.

i only have

Transatlanticism and We Have The Facts in full (plus a few tracks from others), and I really haven't listened to the latter enough.

Favourite song would be either Photobooth or Tiny Vessels. I'm really liking A Movie Script Ending at the moment, too.

actually

I've got Plans too. The fact that I'd forgotten it existed says a fair bit.

Bullshit

Plans is THE definition of a grower for me.

Possibly my second favorite Death Cab record.

The Photo Album

Styrophone plates (or whatever it's called.)

It was...

...'Title And Registration' for a long time, but it changed to 'Passenger Seat' when I listened to it last.

Plans has its moments but is a less solid overall in my opinion.

Styrophone?

Jees Lousie I'm a right idiot. :(

We Have The Facts and We're Voting Yes

Best Album.
No Joy in Mudville may be their best song.

we have the facts.

maybe 'why you'd want to live here' maybe 'company calls' maybe 'styrofoam plates' maybe 'photobooth' i dont know.

I used to say We Have The Facts

but now I prefer The Photo Album. My favourite DCFC song is Bend To Squares though, which is on the first album.

I only have Plans and Transatlanticism

When Transatlanticism came out I considered DCFC as one of my favourite bands, but I was massively disappointed by Plans so I sorta gave up. I love 'I Was A Kaleidoscope' though so I really should get The Photo Album I suppose?

Plans is good!

seriously there are about two songs on there which deserve the scorn poured upon it.

nothing on plans is terrible

it's just that there's very little that rises above decent, for me, which is why I was pretty disappointed with it, compared to Transatlanticism where almost every song is amazing.

I disagree

Your Heart Is An Empty Room
What Sarah Said
Brothers On A Hotel Bed
Summer Skin

ALL as good as anything they have ever done.

I love Death Cab.

The photo album or Transatlanticism
Title and Registration or A movie script ending or Lack of Colour or 405.

Plans is good

just doesn't have the same overall vibe as 'Transatlanticism' and the early stuff is cool but I prefer the more polished sound of the last two albums.

Plans

I Will Follow You into the Dark

Plans

photobooth

A Movie Script Ending, just

I couldn't possibly choose one album. I love them all. Yes, Plans is woderful.

They're a perfect band

Transatlanticism

The Employment Pages or Lightness

I find it very hard to choose between

facts, photo album and transatlanticism. but i usually go for photo album. Despite facts being the perfect example of a summery guitar pop album.

My favourite songs is we laugh indoors.

v difficult, a tie between

Lack of Colour
Title & Registration
Stability
and, erm, ben's solo version of 'evan and chan'... sorry...!

THESE

Plans
Marching Band of Manhattan
Your Heart Is An Empty Room

Photo Album
Movie Script Ending
Death Exposes Doubt

Transatlantisism
Title and Registration (FAVOURITE SONG EVER. FACT)
Sounds of Settling
Tiny Vessels

WHTFAWVY
405
Employment Pages

YCPTSWC
President of What?
Amputations
Wait (2nd FAVOURITE SONG )
Army Corp of Architects (3rd FAVOURITE SONG)

Why You'd Want To Live Here

Most exciting Death Cab song ever?

It is great, yeah

About a year ago they were my favourite band, this thread has made me play We Have The Facts through to Transatlanticism again. So hard to choose between those two and The Photo Album. Favourite song is A Movie Script Ending, uncontroversial in this thread.

Photo Album

Army Corps of Architects
