Apparently intelligent music.
The lead singer is an ape.

Quoting a friend.

A friend who should know better. Is this band a new NME sweetheart? They can have it.

Dananana

are a fun rock band. Their 'lead singers' (only singers) past and present (two) are two of the friendliest people you'll meet.

They aren't The Twang but have had positive feedback from NME. Who cares, though? They have awesome songs and are awesome live.

Dananananaykroyd

are, in my opinion, one of the most exciting bands in the UK at the moment. And they have had as good as zero NME coverage. As if that should even matter anyway.

their driver ended up sleeping in the same bed as me

after a very drunken night,

they are also the nicest people ever
i love them

and they are amazingly wonderful
and im drunk but. i adore them!

Too much praise

I HATE THEM NOW

the fact

that they have slipped under NME's radar is not a bad thing, tis the worst kind of music press going...clueless fuckwits not unlike the DiS reviewers

not unlike?

lol.
explain?

THEY'RE AMAZING

really need to see them live.

Btw there was a piece in the NME about them last July / August massively bigging them up.

sorry

meant to say 'just like DiS reviewers' ;0)

i got what you meant.

so, again, explain?

Good band.

They sound like they're a lot of fun live.

not my

cup of tea.
Didn't give them much of a chance though, walking out two songs into a set.
Would someone mind explaining though, apart from being 'lovely people', what is so great about the music?

its an absolutely mental

math rock pop explosion. Like a maths teacher blowing up in a dairy lea factory.

or something.
And they have two drummers. for the simple reason that its soo much louder with two. perfect. :D

yeah

i did notice and enjoy the two drummers.
But I still don't really get it.

they're

fantastic. really want to see them live sooon!

a

constant onslaught of riff changes mixed with poppyness, all round math rock and loud shouty bits followed by...urr..different shouty bits.

they're simply amazing. some dresses was such a choon!

oh fuck

it's not "math rock" is it?
I really liked them before I knew that. Gone right off them now.

what?!

jesus christ...

they are ace.

i just wish they'd do bigger tours.

he's actually

a gibbon

fact.

there's

a track of theirs on the artrocker unsigned cd free with this fortnight's issue

saw them live

enjoyed myself quite a lot, thought they were a lot better than i thought they'd be
