Glastonbury line-up leaks

Festival-centric website FestivalNews.co.uk has reported the leaked line-up for this summer's Glastonbury Festival.
To our eyes, though, there appear to be too many 'big' names here, too many potential headliners. Unless Glastonbury is running eight or nine large stages at the same time, we're struggling to imagine how this not-so-little lot will fit in. But, here's what we've heard, anyway...

i agree that there are too many headliners.
The Who and Arctic Monkeys and Fatboy Slim and maybe Bjork seem the only genuinely 'worthy' headliners here.
Chemical Bro's, Manic's, Kaiser's and Killers should all be headlining the Other Stage at best.
Lily Allen, Winehouse, Super Furry's, Bloc are not headliners.
Oh i don't fucking know, it's not a very good headline line up however you look at it.

It's good enough
There's enough there to give most people a few bands a day that they want to see and give you plenty of time to wonder around the rest of what's going on.

Golden Stone returns
Brian Jones is doing a solo sitar set on the Saturday night on top of the Pyramid stage whilst taking a big psychedelic freak out poo onto the Killers below. Read it in my tea this morning so it must be true.

I'll see Doherty, Kasabian, Killers, possibly View and Kooks. But other than that, I'll be happy to linger around the tent if that's the best they can muster.

Seriously, the bands are a minute part of the festival and if it's all you interested in, this may be the wrong place for you.
If there's nothing you want to watch go and have a wander, you might find something you love. Soak it all in not just the main stages.

Haha, they're the bands i would be nowhere near
Bjork is the best news i'd say, though i'm not going. Can't top 2003 IMO (radiohead, sigur ros, rem, mogwai, flaming lips etc), it is worth going for the festival itself though.

...is the reason I would never go to Glastonbury. If I wanted to spend 3 days tit high in mud and travellers I'd go to a field where there were some and hang around there for free. This whole "You go there for the vibe maaaaan" is bollocks.
If there were no bands playing and just stalls selling organic beetroot juice and legal highs you're saying that you'd still pay £stupid price? Balls.

By bands are only a minute part of it, I mean there are comedy tents, theatre, circus etc. So if none of the bands appeal to you then go and have a look at one of the other fields and you might find something that does entertain you
It's the Glastonbury Festival of Perfoming Arts after all not the Glastonbury Music Festival.
If you're just after a music festival then you're probably right not to go.

is the only person from this list with the credentials to headline what is more often than not touted as the greatest festival on earth; and she is supposedly headlining the second stage.
I knew The Arctic Monkeys were heaslining the pyramid ages ago (contacts ya see), which is typical of the way things are going with this festival...I think no band should be allowed to headline this festival until they have released a minimum of 3 albums. How can you give the punters that are paying £150 value for money if you have to throw every jam and doodle you've ever done into the mix in order to have a headline set worthy of the title. Money first, pride second!

cant really be fucked with another "TOL are shite argument", their live shows are excellent and only arcade fire so far have exitied me more live, I cannot stand the smiths, a view which pretty much is determined by Morrisey's vocal, which i find hard to listen to

I just think that her gig would be really boring in places, might be alright on a small enclosed stage with a bit of atmosphere but would be totally lost on a big stage, some of her more "niche-market" songs would bomb.

How can anyone say that the kiilers, kaisers and lily allen arent worthy of headliners?? I think the line up is great! I would have liked snow patrol and red hot chilli peppers there though.

wish it was possible to find out the acts more in advance... i would love to go to this years glasto but you have to sign up so far in advance you don't know what you're gonna be getting...

Sorry for the crassness of this plug, but as an unsigned band you know you gotta. The Winding Stair are confirmed for the Acoustic Stage on Sunday 23rd, probably about 2pm or so. We're third on at any rate.
We do a dark folk akin to Pentangle mixed with a bit of David Sylvian, moodier Clannad etc... it would be totally amazing if people checked it out.
Again sorry for the plug, but you know how it is these days as a smaller band - plus we'd love you to get to the tent!

Bjork is probably the biggest and best artist to hit glastonbury-she has such p-resence to make crowds wow-hopefully she will be wearing her swan lol-watch declare independence from her latest timbaland album 'Volta' it will send teh crowd to another dimension
