saw them at the Metro once. quite good live, but nothing incredible.
Have you heard
the new stuff? They have a track or two from the new album on their myspace.com/ratatatmusic site, dont think the album is out here yet though.
i heard that cat tune
not bad. pretty much more of the same. theyve got a great sound.
ive made a resolution to listen to them next time i sex someone up.
Ooooh ace!
thanks for that...haven't checked their myspace for a little while. sweet.
Good work
I've just discovered them. Well, one song. But I fuckin' loves it. I will be at...White Heat, apparently. Hmm.
oooh at white heat?
thatll be a good place to see them i think.
I've never been
Not sure I want to go. I'm sure I'll hate it.
well, you are reallly old and fat and ugly...
ive never seen a band at white heat, but when i go, theres normally a good dancefloor. so seeing backing tracky 80s baroque electro there will be good, as opposed to seeing them at the metro or whatever other dive.
It's quite a good place to watch bands.
I think ratatat are okay, I just find them a bit too samey a lot of the time... and I didn't like the new one much either.
</grumble>
I listened to them for the first time last night.
I think I enjoyed it. But I can't remember what they sound like. I may have been asleep.
Classics
"17 Years" is one of the most amazing songs ever. We're supporting them in Manchester, I'm going to try and bum rush the stage when they play it.
Seventeen Years
is the track I've heard. That has grabbed me by the musical balls. it's fucking brilliant.
it saddens me
cos thats the track ive had for aaaaages, and its te best thing on the album
its all milky tho.
Oh
I've just bought the album on the strength of that song. I shoujld have asked first. Still. I bet it'll rule. IT WILL RULE.
I don't know about their earlier stuff.
But the last album was awful. Cheesy soft rock instrumentals.
i really liked it!
but also liked the hold steady album.
maybe im getting to into the cheesy soft rock.
I've only heard 17 years
and I've listened to it a few times now and it does nothing for me.
What the...?
You must be mad. It Baroques! Just close your eyes and imagine shredding out those sick solos.
