everyone knows about falling asleep somewhere and massively overshooting their intended destination, and ending up in some zone 5 shit hole in the grey morning light, yeah?

well i have a story. an incredible story.

friday night i left a party early to get home, aboout 3am. the party was in willesden. i got a bus south to victoria.

when i woke up i wasnt in victoria.

so its about 6.30, and i get off the bus and somehow walk to the nearest tube station, which, im shocked to find, is Edgware. not edgware road. edgware.

as anyone with a vague knowledge of london will know, thats zone 5, the northern end of the northern line.

clearly theyd taken me to victoria, not cared to wake me up and taken me back to the other end of the line.

so i jump on the northern line bound for kennington (my destination).
fall asleep.
wake up in Golders Green.

which would be fine, but for the fact that i was at golders green travelling towards edgware. again id gone to the end of the line and come back in the opposite direction.

so i get off and switch to the other platform, get on, fall asleep, wake up a few hours later in edgware again.

and then i did the whole thing again.

got home about 9.30.

simultaneously funny and tragic.
incredible stuff.

glad i posted this as a blog and not a thread.

That's quite something

You must've been really tired.

^Valuable contribution. Now listen to my story of woe.

hah

that's pretty impressive. kinda groundhog day-like.

there's a lesson there...

never left a party early !

haha

I've woken up in Edgware many a time. Grim.

...

Kinda puts my adventure home last night in perspective.
